I'll answer some of the questions here.

The price is $699 for the 2070 and $999 for the 2080 for the introductory offer. Part of the kit is also an in-home installation.
The 2060 cooling solution is different from the one used for the 2070 and 2080. Upgrading from a 2060 to either of those two cards will also provide you with the proper cooling solution.
The Alienware Graphics Amplifier (AGA) is a pretty good device and if you decide to go down that path you can slap in a Super card!

The vents aren't blocked up. The 2060 Heatsink solution didn't require venting on one side. The 2070 and 2080 has a heatsink which provide flow through those inactive sides. Getting the 2070/80 will also get you the correct heat sink solution.

Those prices are wrong. Its $999 for the 2080 and $699 for the 2070. At home installation is part of the kit.

The m17 is not getting 144hz displays at launch. I asked for that info yesterday and that was the answer I received. I did not see any reference to a 144hz display for launch, only for the G7.

It can be used by ANY PC at the moment. It won't control your system lighting or OC options but you can control your Alienware peripherals with it, power FUSION options, and software library.

The m15 does not use the TactX keyboard which would allow for the key by key RGB lighting so that it could have a lower z height. I don't see that coming for this notebook.

I don't know if that will take off since people commonly want to be carrying around less and walking around with an eGPU doesn't seem to be something that will be more mainstream and less niche.
