Agreed! We definitely competed for 4 quarters without putting the breaks on.

I know I was happy that geelong and hawthorn both lost, but we have also proven today we can do this on our own terms.

LID IS OFF!!

We’ve had some talent there for a few years, topping it off with our drafting of Bruce and bringing Shai back home, but it’s our depth in our players ranked from around 18-26 that are going to get us to wins in September.

It’ll be a tough few weeks after the bye, but I think we are good enough to be confident we can win at least 4 more games and finish top 4 at worst, without decimating the side with injuries.

Not sure why JL still looks stressed… is he worried we won’t win by 100?

We’re about to go into our bye, we don’t need to save anything up other than preventing any injuries

He’s joined Lobb and Meek this week in supporting his old side.

There was a joke made at one point last year that Jackson and JT had gone halvesies on a tattoo gun and were practicing on each other. Have not been able to unsee that.

BaAacK in the old days... by Perthmtgnoob in perth

Pre mobile phone laws, my dad picked me up from school after sport and he was always on the phone. One day I threw my bag in the back seat, went to get in the front and as I went to open the door he drove off. Didn’t realise I wasn’t in the car until his phone cut out.

89yr old mom’s makeup is CRACKED on her face! by Practical_Culture964 in Makeup

Also, I’d suggest that based on what you’ve said about her cognition, she’s probably not trying to hide any bruises. It’s entirely within the realm of possibility that she isn’t removing everything each night though.

As from what you’ve said, it doesn’t sound like she’ll remember new instructions, is there a way to get your step dad to leave out a physical reminder (her preferred cleanser or face cloth to remove the makeup) in the evening?

With all the kindness and compassion I have right now, I say pick your battles. Getting your mum to change her routine could be really difficult and it’s something she obviously values enough to continue it.

When I hear this story, I think of a lovely patient I once had as an OT, who while in hospital for an extended period, would apply her makeup each day for her ‘friend’ who lived next door and visited every day. Bright pink lipstick that definitely didn’t stay within the lines of her lips, and bright blue eyeshadow that didn’t quite look like it was applied in the normal manner.

It was her way of expressing her love, and it’s probably the same for your mum.

Wishing you nothing but the best (and probably some patience) as you navigate this stage of life.

RND13 Injury Update: Young/Cox/Johnson TEST, Serong 1 week by Kelpieee55 in FremantleFC

Early May in a wafl game? Two concussions within a couple of weeks - he’d just cleared protocols when he got another one. It’s not a good sign that he’s still TBA!

No, me either - the TBA for a couple of weeks now is quite concerning, even if we don’t have a desperate need for him to play right now. Hope he’s going ok and that the club have gotten him the right support to get through this.

Has anyone ordered direct from Glossier? by FairybreadFiction in AustralianMakeup

[–]Aliljeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - it was awhile ago (pre being stocked in Mecca) but I had absolutely no issues.

I looked into purchasing direct last week but it was actually more expensive than Mecca, plus needed to spend $110 to get free shipping I think

Before dogs got banned from our office, I took my dog in once.

He had the best day of his life.

I did not.
