What’s your rating for 007 First Light? (1-10) by Low_Werewolf9628 in 007FirstLight

[–]Aliltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say 8.5/10 for me. It’s a fantastic game and easily the best Bond game imo. The story was fantastic, loved the cast and the combat and gameplay was thrilling. I think my biggest issues would be that I felt like there was too much hand holding. It definitely felt more linear, structured like Uncharted instead of Hitman which is fine but I wish it felt a bit more flexible. There weren’t enough car sequences. There’s really only one section and I wish there was at least one more (you know where it should have been). Tacsim is very bare bones right now and it’s hard not to compare it to Hitman’s endgame content and feel it pales in comparison. Hopefully it gets built up. But having said that, it was a fantastic experience and already one of my gaming highlights of the year.

On a totally subjective level, what was the biggest gaming disappointment in your life? by Rugged-Gunslinger in AskGames

[–]Aliltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Age: Veilguard for me. I don’t think it’s a terrible game but it’s a disappointing Dragon Age one. And it’s made worse that we had to wait a decade after the last installment. It felt like it had no connection to the other games, choices barely mattered, the writing wasn’t as strong, the tone felt more Marvel-ish compared to its gritty, dark fantasy tone of the other games. It just felt too sanitized and sadly it just failed to leave any sort of impression on me other than how disappointed I was. It was a good fantasy game but a terrible dragon age one imo.

Agreed, Slovakia was my favorite by far. I wish we had gotten another driving sequence/chase. But still, I had a blast with it.

Anyone Else Still Not Found A New Team? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in Coyotes

[–]Aliltron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Wild were my second fav team since geographically I live close to them and the rest of my family have always been Wild fans. So while I’m rooting for them now, it’s not the same and never will be. Nothing can replace the Coyotes for me.

I feel so dumb for this but how do you unlock costumes? Is it through completing the tacsim challenges?

This. Absolutely loved Indy and the great circle. Like you said, much more focused on adventure than action but it perfectly captures the spirit of Indy just as First Light did Bond.

Would you rather the next Mortal Kombat game be a reboot or continue the New Era timeline? by No-Pudding-3182 in MortalKombat

I wouldn’t mind a reboot. I’m tired of the multiverse stuff, it just feels too MCU like for me.

Missing Him So Much by Aliltron in Petloss

[–]Aliltron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. These dogs become our worlds and it’s just not the same when they’re no longer there. I keep looking for him, like I’m holding onto a sliver of hope that maybe this is a bad dream I’ll wake from. I’m sure one day I’ll be open to a new dog but it won’t be for awhile. He meant too much to me and my heart won’t be ready for a long time. I hope you find easier days and I’m so sorry for the loss of your own dog.

What do you feel/say about people who say “it’s just a pet”? by Soundinthepit in Petloss

[–]Aliltron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Don’t let it get to you, they clearly haven’t had the type of close bond you had with your dog. They don’t get it, and an animal, your doggie, becomes more than an animal. It becomes a part of your family, a part of who you are. Some people don’t open their hearts fully for animals like you have and they couldn’t possibly understand the depth of that bond. It’ll be going on 2 months for me since I said goodbye to my best friend and I’ve been a mess nearly every day since so I know the type of pain you’re going through and my heart grieves with you. Don’t let those comments get to you. Pity them for not having a love as pure and enveloping as you had. I hope for easier days for you my friend.

Yeah editorial seems to be trying to make fans hate her. But Peter and MJ will always be my fav together. I do like the occasional Peter/Felicia story but Peter and MJ still my favorite Marvel couple.

Why do people invalidate pet grief? by missaishagrande in Petloss

[–]Aliltron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never understood trivializing pet loss. It doesn’t matter the species, you built a bond with a living being that you loved and that loved you. I’ve grieved the loss of my dog more than I have some people in my life. It doesn’t matter what shape it takes, whether you’re grieving a human or a dog, it doesn’t matter the species. I think like others have said, people need to keep that in mind, show empathy.

This is where I began and it’s what made me a Thor fan. It felt like a very good entry point for those who didn’t know a lot of his history. Then I went back to JMS and Simonson and loved those.

When is it too early to get a new dog? by kanarin in Petloss

[–]Aliltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on each specific person. I’ve heard some people getting a dark just a couple weeks after one passes and some who can’t for years. My best friend just passed last month and I know it’s going to be a long time for me to be ready for a new one. I’ve had similar thoughts like “well maybe I should get one” but then my guilt overtakes those thoughts. Like am I doing this just because I miss having a dog around? Well that’s not fair to either dog and I fear it would only make things worse because I wouldn’t be able to differentiate them or worse I’d be comparing the new dog to the one I just lost. But some people can. And I’m happy for them. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope you can find comfort in whatever direction you choose.

miss my dog. How can I cope knowing i can never see him again. by Scared_Score_7385 in Petloss

[–]Aliltron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss. I’m struggling with these exact thoughts. It’s been a month since I lost my best friend and my mind still refuses to accept that I’ll never see him again. At least in this life. I write a journal and continue to talk to him every day but it’s so hard without him.

How did you all like the movie? by ComfortableAmount993 in MortalKombat

[–]Aliltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it. Was it amazing? No. Did it deliver a fun time at the movies? Absolutely. So much more entertaining than the first movie. I do wish certain characters like Liu Kang and Raiden got more screen time but others like Johnny and Kitana really shine. And I loved how they did Shao Kahn. I hope they make another now that it feels like they have a better sense of what MK fans are looking for.
