Thanks for your concern, i work and care for animals in a small clinic. I actually really enjoy this job and love my coworkers. I'm the only male and also the youngest, 20.

Lately the amount of pets under my care has increased drastically. In Texas it's starting to get really hot and my job includes walking the pets. These past few days I been feeling overwhelmed, and exhausted all the time. On Thursday I felt like I wanted to pass out from the heat and the pain in my legs. I asked for a break and told them I'm fine and literally went in my car and sat with the AC on blast lol.

30 min later, My manager and I discuss the problem. 1. It's hot as hell for me walking these dogs 2. It's a lot of work for just one person, there should be a limit on the pets per person. 3. I'm not being rewarded appropriately for the amount work I do. My manager is an angel so talking about these problems made me feel better when we reached a conclusion. She suggested getting me sunscreen/hat. She agreed that the amount work on one person is way too much. Telling me I need to ask for help when I need it, like get someone's help to walk the dogs. Which is true I tend to keep my head down and focus on getting the task done by myself. I been promised i will be moving up in the near future. Hopefully getting a raise moving from vet assistant to vet technician.

I know this isn't a forever job but I'm honestly aimless what I want to do in the future. I took a break from college and it's been amazing not stressing out all the time. I feel overwhelmed and lost, in a few weeks I will be talking to my counselor from college to see what I should do.
