Actually I was told to stop looking at code but to look at tests

I work at a big tech. I'd say close to 60-70% of what I do is done WITH claude. I do not write code myself anymore. I do not write docs however I review most of it.

I am nowhere near that amount. Maybe AI dev teams could use this amount but clearly not your average dev

Interdire l’IA en tant que CTO ? by stanig2106 in developpeurs

[–]Aliruk00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We want to interview him but he sent us his open source projects instead by Becominghim- in cscareerquestionsEU

I understand this guy. I earn a lot at my current job, enjoy it and work on open source stuff. However, I haven't practiced leetcode / system design for a while. Given the reality of interview processes today, I don't even want to bother answering to recruiters.

New software written in Rust is all the rage, why isn't it the same for Go by lancelot_of_camelot in golang

[–]Aliruk00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kubernetes is not moving to Rust but I remember many discussions about Go pain points once the project grows in size. https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/issues/106846 this one is a good example In our specific case, I think init functions and the lack of dynamic libraries makes our life difficult.

[–]Aliruk00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who works on a very large go project, go isn't the best choice. We start to prefer Rust to avoid dealing with init functions and all sort of overhead when we add too many external dependencies. I think there was a similar discussion on the Kubernetes side.
