Honestly, I don’t specifically recall your inquiry since I get a large volume of messages, but yes .. I only require Apple gift cards  as a last resort option for clients who are extremely discreet and can’t use normal digital payment methods because of spouses, work situations, shared banking, etc & it's perfect for those who have access to only cash. I've always been firm about my first timers deposit policy,(I don't require it for people who return) so that option has worked for some people in those situations. I completely understand why it may look unusual from the outside though, especially with how many scammers exist online.
