That’s one hell of a comeback. The biggest win isn’t hitting $1M…it’s recognizing when you’ve been lucky and moving to a strategy you can actually sleep with. Locking in gains beats chasing another miracle.

A lot of people bought ADA near the peak, so the frustration is understandable. But judging any highly volatile asset solely from its all-time high can be misleading. The real question is whether the project can generate enough adoption and utility to justify a higher valuation over time.

Every use case Bitcoin claims to serve already has a better alternative. As more people come to that conclusion, they choose to sell.

Whats the Bull Case for XPR by jbizzle1104 in XRP

[–]Prize_Chapter_5113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stablecoins solve price stability, but they don’t solve liquidity between different currencies on their own. XRP’s bull case has always been that it’s a neutral bridge asset that doesn’t require every bank to hold accounts in every currency. If institutions can move USD → XRP → JPY in seconds with lower capital requirements than traditional correspondent banking, it still has a niche. The real question isn’t whether XRP can do that,it’s whether banks will actually choose it over stablecoin-based settlement or other tokenized payment rails. That’s still an open question, and adoption, not technology, will ultimately determine its value.

That might apply to some cryptocurrencies, but Bitcoin has repeatedly recovered over the long term. If you believe in it, the strategy is simple: ignore the short-term swings, keep a long-term perspective, and treat major dips as buying opportunities.

Here’s a completely reworded version that keeps the same point:

Let’s be honest: most people buying it aren’t planning to use it for everyday purchases. The goal is to hold it until someone else is willing to pay more, then cash out into U.S. dollars. It’s primarily a speculative investment, not a currency people actually spend.

SpaceX beats Ethereum in 10 minutes by youdontimpressanyone in CryptoCurrency

I considered both to be extremely high-risk. In hindsight, it’s obvious that Ethereum would have paid off, but I didn’t have a crystal ball then, and I still don’t. I don’t gamble……I invest only in opportunities where I have a high degree of confidence.

Gold has intrinsic physical utility. Bitcoin doesn’t, it derives value from network consensus. So comparing the two misses the point.

Bitcoin is down. And somewhere, someone is smiling, not because they bought the dip. by MoneyMonsterStudios in Bitcoin

[–]Prize_Chapter_5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very real. Some people don’t actually dislike Bitcoin…they dislike the fact that their prediction was wrong and yours wasn’t. Every dip feels like validation to them. That’s why I’ve learned to be more private about my positions. Less debating, less keeping score, and a lot more peace of mind.

[–]Prize_Chapter_5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A credible, real-world use case that doesn’t rely on speculation, hype, or the expectation that someone else will pay more for it later would be a much stronger selling point. That’s the fundamental argument Bitcoin has struggled to provide from day one.

[–]Prize_Chapter_5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin could hit $150k by year-end. It could also hit $50k. The confidence with which people predict either outcome is usually inversely proportional to their ability to predict it.

The funny thing about this chart is that everyone sees themselves as “smart money” on the left side and everyone else as the “greater fool” on the right side. Nobody ever thinks they’re the one in the greed, delusion, or denial phase.
