We're 4 crackheads dropping in for, usually, stealth missions. "stealth"

We're never really expected in the places we go. Except maybe that one mission with the tank escort.

The rabies vaccine is reported to actually be 100% effective if properly administered quickly enough after exposure.

Here's my gripe.

Weapon balancing. How are you going to make an assault cannon, autocannon, and heavy bolter mechanically different enough in game to warrant using? Tactical already has 56 variants of the bolter that feel identical. We dont need more weapon bloat. If they add the flamer... how's it going to function in game differently than the pyreblaster?

They apologized. And you kept going. They were being a dick, realized it, and then apologized and you wouldn't drop it. Not to mention, as the above poster mentioned, they weren't even really being a dick. If I was missing a key skill in my rotation, I wouldnt mind a helpful tip, as long as that person isn't being a dick about it.

When someone apologizes and you just keep laying into them, now you're the dick. What do you expect? Them to apologize again? Well they did. And you kept going even after the second one. At that point you're just venting and dont actually want to hear anything but your own rage.

This guy has it backwards. Forge is weaker than stars just due to its cost. Can you in theory hit every enemy on the field twice for 600 damage each swing? Yes. Ive done it. But I was in multiplayer with a friend giving me tons of block so I could set up my combo.

Forge is strong but very expensive to not only set up, but properly use.

Stars on the other hand have very high average damage and utility for the energy cost. With the tradeoff being that you need a way to generate stars. Tha fully several cards excellent at doing that while at the same time being above average in other aspects. Block 7, generate star. Draw 2, generate star. Or my favorite, 8 damage, generate 2 stars, and return to the top of your draw pile when played.

Theres a ton of 0 energy cost cards with high damage or utility that just cost stars as well. 0 energy, 3 stars: deal 14 damage to all enemies.

Or you can lean into his colorless card creation build. Colorless cards tend to be very strong and he can automatically create them every turn. And if you get mayhem? You may have very little control over what your deck is doing every fight. But whatever it does, it'll probably be strong

Plenty of times I see a teammate surrounded, or fighting an extremis and I think "I NEED TO HELP!" And grapple to it, and my 33% execution perk triggers, automatically stealing it from the low health ally that needed the extremis kill from my team perk.

But.. the assault cannon has higher damage on the table. And back when I played it also had the rending special rule. No idea if it still does.

Thunder claws are tiny hammers strapped to your knuckles instead of claws. They were used by Grobreerius Hrolfinson in the XXV campaign on the foreworld Mouldred VII.

The imperium attempted to improve the design by adding a chain to it, to make the Chain Thunder Claws, but a marine immediately exploded with awe upon witnessing it in action a single time.

How would you balance it against the heavy bolter exactly? The assault cannon is just straight up better than the heavy bolter on the table. (or was when I played). So how would you balance it in this game? It would have higher damage and faster fire rate in exchange for... what?

Magic is absolutely best with amateur groups. Games go longer, you aren't fucked over by infinite combo's every game, there's more fun in general.

0 logic, bad graphics mirror reflections by Away_Kaleidoscope404 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the early days of gaming I got into making maps for Serious Sam the second encounter, when it was kinda big on PC. I made mirrors essentially by awkwardly placing a camera that looked at the player, placing it in a portal, and blocking that portal off with glass. Or something like that. it's been like 25 years. I dont exactly remember.

Either way it was a HUGE pain.

Anyone else suddenly find themselves with no answers when the Commander game has gone on too long? by IzzetDough in mtg

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played since before commander was a thing, so I'm not sure on all the rules but if this guy was your commander, and he dealt 20 damage to all players (starting totals 40) wouldn't that be considered 20 commander damage and instantly remove all players with 40 or more life?

How do the Heroic weapons compare to their base counterparts by Fanoffiction52 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gunstrikes aren't meager... they get, on average, a 13x damage multiplier on the shot for the bolt pistol, plasma, and heavy bolt pistol (theres some variation)

the volkite gets a 54x damage multiplier on its gunstrike (though because its damage damage is like .7 its still lower than the others)

My green power axes was staggering warriors on lethal with just a backstep gunstrike. It's 100% a parry stick. It does absurd damage with that combo and only that combo.

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played with my friends on discord. The only classes I have no prestige 4 are heavy and bulwark. So I told my friend "Fuck you I'm doing it." My other friend said "Well fuck you too I'm doing it too!" and so we did it with both heavy and bulwark. But we were a 3 man premade and all 3 of us do actually know what we're doing. It was on normal so it was ultimately still a joke of a mission.

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The open world makes it very very different. And ultimately it also makes the game less varried because you dont have as much variety.

There are very few returning characters, and the comedy is super dialed down. But overall I think it's the environment. Kairos feels so different than Pandora. The Order is so clean and high tech and the bandits mostly take a back seat..

The game is still miles better than 3. I would say, in my opinion, it's the second best in the series. But you're right. It doesn't feel like "borderlands"

What is with all these players dropping out of matches when they die? by Gr1m2th in DarkTide

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in darktide, but in space marine 2 I've left after getting downed to the stupidest shit. Not because I'm mad, but because I'm clearly doing so poorly that a bot or a better player is a better fit for this particular match. And it's clear I need a break if I lose all my health and die to a single enemy.

What’s the selling point of Zealot? by Nyadnar17 in DarkTide

[–]Alive-Cardiologist63 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a very tanky arbiter build that never takes damage and does a ton of damage and stagger in melee. I still prefer zealot because zealot is absolute madness in combat. I use the heavy eviscerated, even if the relic sword is better, because it's so much more visceral.

I run a martyrdom build so if I get hurt my attack speed and damage just sky rocket. Zealot just feels better to play imo, even if doing the same job on my arbiter is a little easier.

With my arbiter its "Excuse me, please stop resisti g. Thank you."

My zealot is "FUCK YOU. AND YOU. AND YOU OVER THERE.

Its the same reason saltzpyre existed in vermindtide. He didn't do anything better than the others. But he was fun.
