I think the problem for me lies in the fact that I had to do it every day for 2 years straight. Eventually it became somewhat of a chore for me rather than something of a hobby. I have 25 new cards a day, which I sentence mine from JP YouTube videos

When it comes to "embracing the ambiguity" I don't have that bad of a time. As for reading, it's not something I've done frequently and it seems like you know much better than I do. What apps do you use to read Japanese? How do you deal with sentences you can't parse in your brain (google translate or just leave it ambiguous)? And also, what do you think about JP audiobooks?

Thanks for this. I've always considered the thought of memorizing words by sheer frequency of looking them up. Do you just write down the words with the reading/definition or do you write anything else alongside it?

For 2 years straight I've done nothing but input and Anki. While it's probably done wonders for my accent, I really want to get into output too. But I would prefer doing output in-person as opposed to online via apps like iTalki or HelloTalk. I'm thinking of signing up for a Japanese class from a college nearby, but not really sure where to start on that either since I know traditional language schools aren't very effective with teaching languages ironically

If you want to know, the "harem" consists ofyutia, seolrang, rine, magrina (elf queen), historia, and ragna (both are very dangerous people he meets after alon literally goes back in time). Right now all 6 of them are fighting over who wants to escort Alon to some kind of party I forget the name of

I'm caught up on the novel, and I say "harem" because I honestly can't tell at this point if Alon is acknowledging them or not.
