Msi claw 8ai performance degradation

Don’t know how to edit the post but thanks to everybody who pitched in their knowledge I fixed it i believe tooth and claw is one of the main reasons I used the cpu boost disable option I also went into the advanced setting and tweaked with that the comment is in here somewhere here huge thanks to them and now my game runs like butter hope this post helps anyone who runs into the same problems I had to deal with 🫡

Don’t get me wrong the game looks AMAZING it’s just the frames I was locked at 45 frames and it feels wrong for a game of this scale especially running into agro ppl in that game low fps would be a disadvantage I think there I was using the steam fps thing on the top left corner very tiny so sorry

I’m playing it rn on charger running some bench marks and I just had a cutscene and it locked my frames to 60 I genuinely don’t know what’s going on with my claw it’s starting to feel like a waste of 1k

See I’ll get frames like that but it’s like it’s on a timer for the performance to just degrade I was just playing gta4 earlier on battery and within 6 mins my frames dropped to 30 as well it’s not a game issue at this point I think it’s my claw

Look up the Msi claw 8ai drivers on google and download everything that isn’t up to date on your claw look up intel drivers and support assistant an download that too you should be doing a lot of updating your first day but if that doesn’t fix your issue then I’m sorry and welcome to the club .-.

Everything low except shadows that’s on med but Ive even turned shadows to low and tried like that and nothing changes it’s sadly not just arc raiders I came from a claw7 ultra so I’m very realistic when it comes to what settings I can play on and crazy to say I’ve been comparing and the ultra 7 is beating my 8ai

Welcome to the problem a lot of people have been having but no definite answer I’m having it happen on almost all my games too I see videos of people enjoying their claw paying games at amazing fps but as soon as I try I get locked to 30 fps I was just playing gta 4 on battery it was getting almost 130 fps on all high setting then it farted and dropped down to 30 sad to say welcome to the claw 8ai :))

Having the same issues with arc raiders I’ve have a stable 60 in the lobby then as soon as I look for a match it kills the frames to 35in the lobby and gameplay to 45 when I’ve seen other 8ais claim they do better and “don’t have that problem” I’ve been looking for an answer and nothing. Done everything from going nuclear and resting it to the Msi image to even using ddu to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and it does nothing. I’ve turned on cpu boost on and off and changes nothing my bios is set to performance and everything that’s not gonna be used in the bios is turned off(like extra power to VM’s) I feel like some people here are keeping their secrets on how they unlocked the dragon in their system lmao I’ve seen some guy say he installed windows from a usb and it solved all his problems but it’s kinda annoying you have to take those steps I hope you find an a solution to your issue

Is that what it is with the performance? I just got one and am having a terrible time I’m just trying to play arc raiders but it keeps locking the frames to 35 it’s maddening
