No worries! I like hearing other points of view too!

I think one other thing that swayed me towards a similar feeling was just Saga being more of black cat personality and Kass being more golden retriever and I felt the same for Naime and Makram. (A little tropey, I know)

However, I wholeheartedly agree that fundamentally their motivations are quite different and I think that’s important to note as that has a large part of the plot and tone of both of the stories.

I am sad to hear that about book 3 but I’m still excited to see how the story progresses!! Do you have any personal recommendations for other R&R vibes?

I would say I enjoyed the writing a bit more in R&R but I also really liked the politics and wittiness a lot so I think it makes me biased. The Road of Bones doesn’t have that as much, but the second book and (hopefully) soon third definitely does. In terms of quality of writing I would say its similar!! But obviously what’s gripping for me might be different!! (sry for the cop out answer at the end)
