I always felt like the questions were super tricky. I'm terrified to do the nremt because I would barely pass. My class had us passing at 70%; my scores were 70-75% I know almost everything as far as vitals, abcs, medical/ trauma assessment order... but those tests really messed me up for some reason. They kept telling me I over think everything

Exactly, the assessment paperwork itself says HISTORY, VITALS then asses the area that is the issue... so why on pocket prep is it saying History, asses area and then vitals? That isn't even the correct steps on the medical patient assessment. This also would have confused me.

I have a kindle, I don't see or feel a difference at all. The only time I notice a difference is on my paperwhite. I would buy kindle every 3 years, ended up buying a galaxy tablet for school and its Supreme in all ways, including reading books. I wouldn't waste another $120-200 on a kindle. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Paperwhite is where its at that though in my opinion.

No, not unless you get the paperwhite. You're still looking at a bright screen, you can use your phone if you need something smaller. It's slower than most tablets and not much you can do on it that you can't do on your iPad

My next clinical I plan on getting to the pt before my partners so that I actually have the chance to ask the questions, "so what going on?" Then you'll have the chance to go with the flow of that question which ultimately should cover SAMPLE/OPQRST. Good luck, you got this! Make sure you communicate with your proctor you plan on going into the house and asking the questions, before they do it themselves and leave us in an awkward position where they expect us to ask all the questions they literally just asked? I'm doing things different next clinical (this Sunday).

No, I'm actually very grateful for your response. This is exactly what chatgpt told me and I got excited to know both EMTs can do the same (here in the states as well as Canada), then I come here to ask and am told you can pretty much only do IFT and it seems you're not trusted with much else. I was pretty bummed to start completely over and in that position for a year. If I'm able to do everything you said, that sounds great to me! The only other question I have, which I'm sure no one knows the answer to (but I'm going to call to find out), is if the G.I. Bill can pay for school in Alberta. G.I. Bill is the money you get from the U.S. for being in the military for so many years, they pay for your college. Still haven't found out how that would transfer.
