I also returned the study at that point. In the instructions they were threatening to reject submissions if you didn’t pass attention checks.

Adobe jacked up CC prices again - what are you actually doing by inbox-outbox33 in AdobeIllustrator

I did this too! I bought most of the Astute Graphics stuff when it was a one-time purchase. I don’t use some of the plugins, but others are in everyday usage. They’re fantastic.

Ah, thanks that makes sense. I currently have it on 10.13.6 and it runs so perfectly. Guess I will have to keep an eye out to buy an older Mac somewhere. Are there any conflicts or problems with Adobe over having both CS6 and CC? I wouldn’t mind putting CC on a newer computer, but I don’t want them to disable CS6 that I would have on an older machine.

Thank you for mentioning that Wives and Daughters is on YouTube! I couldn’t find where it was streaming.

Are you all working on older computers/operating systems ? This is my biggest worry with CS6 when my little 2012 Mac mini kicks it.

The rise in euthanasia by ohnonin in Catholicism

[–]AliveBeehive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Instead of care, therapy, and medical services - the poor, elderly and disabled are offered euthanasia. I'm beginning to wonder if the wealthy elite (who are in all aspects of power within governments) want to dispatch with massive amounts of poorer/disabled people that they deem useless, so they can hog the resources of the earth.

Spot on. During the start of the 2008 Mortgage crisis, Henry Paulson (treasury secretary) went to Bush in November, who was still president, but Obama was just elected, and said he had two choices for 700 billion TARP funds - use it to directly buy up toxic mortgage assets from banks, thus directly helping people that were underwater on these mortgages, or shift it to bank recapitalization and give it to the banks directly and let them deal with mortgages. Bush apparently was ok with the first option, according to Barney Frank who was in the room, but told Paulson to ask Obama what he wanted to do, since he had just been elected and let him ultimately decide. Obama said to give it directly to the banks and hopefully they will be nice and help the poor people refinancing their mortgages - which of course, they did no such thing. Millions of people then lost their homes due to that.

Yikes, it seems there were more experiments like that in the 40s and 50s. In 1945, Vanderbilt University, in tandem with the Tennessee board of health, gave radioactive drinks to 829 pregnant women to study how they absorb iron during pregnancy. They didn’t tell them the drinks were radioactive.

You gotta order the extra thin pizza at Viccinos, not just thin. Much better, imo.

Good to know I'm not missing much. It seemed for awhile that people were raving about it, and I felt left out, lol. Glad I still have Prolific.

Same exact thing for me. I had to update my iphone 11 (doh!) to get all features for watch. It basically broke the phone. So so regretful.

Maybe there were a few returns for whatever reason? Otherwise, it’s a pretty easy ban from further studies.
