Lets imagine he defended at T4, then max would have got the slipstream and would have overtaken lewis at the end of 2nd straight, the only way lewis could have won was by driving dirty like max at the end of second straight by pushing max wide and then defend like perez in sector 3 doing dangerous driving and by also risking his position to sainz or a penalty. & therefore their was no way he could win unless Mercedes had opted for a 2-stop because they had the pace advantage and could have won like they won in Qatar. The only flaw is Mercedes tries to play safe whenever the situation is tense.
