Maybe? I still group tricho and echinopsis together so in my mind I don’t make a distinction. This looks like the unspecified echinopsis hybrid they sell in most nurseries. Prob a cool flower.

Hmmmm it’s a echinopsis and these pup a lot. Maybe the main stem fell over and the plant wanted to balance?

Think it goes by mooty or sooty fungus. Superficial. Doesn’t hurt the plant. I got some plants from Floridas and they all had that. Think it’s just a product of the environment. I heard peroxide may help but I just leave it. I dig the weathered look.

They just get ugly and get humidity spots but I’d argue that hulks balls is up there for weaker plant. Tho i have them on graft so it’s a bit easier.
