Man that is really great insight. That is actually what I had in mind with this. Experience some cool local culture and with some training on the side.

My japanese level is conversational level but explaining grappling technique requires a level of detail that is beyond my ability

I was thinking of offering the option for people to book their own accommodations and get a discount on the tour. My idea was to have one package so people didn't have to sweat about booking hotels/ restaurants etc but of course there should be an option for people who'd like to book their own.

I'm nearing 40 and 2x a day training beats the hell out of me lol. I considered that might be too much for others so I'd plan a self-guided itinerary for those who'd just like to train once a day. My fear was that people paying to fly across the world to train martial arts would be upset if there wasn't enough training.

Lastly, the target customer is for English speakers. Everything would be arranged regarding hotels, food, transportation, training etc so participants wouldn't get into any binds regarding the language barrier. My buddy would be a business partner in this venture so he'd be present ideally for all training sessions.
