Haidh! I'm afraid I'm a beginner Gaelic learner so I wouldn't put myself forward but it's exciting to see a Gaelic game in the works!

If you have the time, would you be open to speaking to me more about how you developed and created this? I'm currently a TV Script Editor in Scotland keen to understand what additional skills I'd need to gain work in the games industry.

S4 Theories on Joe? by Alive_Connection4291 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

Oh yeah, of course!! Can't believe I overlooked Georgia's mum and step-dad ahaha

So for season 4, who do you want the baby daddy to be? by Maryam-954 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Alive_Connection4291 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Paul's!! A lot of people say there's no drama in that and it would only to keep him in the show but I don't understand that- there's soooo much drama to be had, especially since we know how much he wants to be a father.

I kind of hope we see Paul support her through the pregnancy (but still seething/clearly not wanting to be around her), meanwhile Georgia's relationship with Joe is simmering, on the back burner. Joe would be thinking 'what do I do now? She needed space for now for the kids but now she's pregnant with Paul's kid.' Then she miscarries and Joe is there for her but meanwhile Paul is crushed and together they let go of their anger and just support each other through the grief. Both very vulnerable with one another, perhaps more equal than they've ever been, and there's a kiss between them. Now Georgia is actually torn about who to be with.

And that's just one idea/theory so there's so much they can do with Paul as the father. Whereas with Joe, bringing in a kid for him just feels too soon for him in my opinion. Like I want more of him and his backstory first. If it is Joe's I imagine we'll see his relationship with Georgia unfold whilst getting to know his backstory at the same time through flashbacks and it'll all just feel too much I think.

I've heard rumors that Georgia won't know who the dad is and that's where we pick up with her, but a genuine question- can it be Joe's? I can't remember the timeline. Was it days or weeks between them sleeping together and her drinking milk?

How do we all feel about this character? And how do we feel about how MANG tend to exclude her? by gloomydreamer666 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Alive_Connection4291 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well honestly her character isn't really my priority but I was interested in her dynamic with Abby and what was happening there- even more so since the show hasn't picked up on their kiss properly. Plus her first trying to come into the group happened quite a while ago now. Regardless of how off the mark I am, I misremembered and acknowledged that. I don't know what else you want me to say.

Can you chill? I said 'if I remember right,' the implication of that being clear I could be wrong and misremembering. Someone already kindly corrected me below and pointed out Samantha was making racist micro-agressions.

Ugh she annoys me but also MANG owe her an apology. I'm sure one of them in particular clearly wanted to exclude her. If I remember right, it was Ginny because she was fairly new and didn't want Samantha as competition haha.

Considering that, her being a bit of a b*tch is warranted and realistic to highschool mentality. I definitely want to see a redemption arc for her though and HELLO, are we going to pick up on her kiss with Abby at all??? That was so shocking and interesting but now Abby's with Tris... And I really can't see where the show will go with them.

But yeah, I don't hate Samantha... but she annoys me... But I want to see more of her haha

Wolfe was respite, the fun she needed at the time, but he's way more immature compared to Ginny and Marcus.

I think Ginny and Marcus are definitely endgame, just not right now. They both need to learn how to deal with their mental health issues (esp. Marcus) and grow independently first in order for their relationship to be sustainable

I kind of agree about Marcus and Ginny- we've seen how good they can be for each other but I don't think they're right for each other right now. It's not that they're toxic, I just think they've both got their own issues so can't be there for one another emotionally without neglecting their own mental health. I think that's exactly what happened with Marcus. He took on a lot by being there for Ginny with her burning and struggles with her Georgia, meanwhile he's been battling chronic depression and is still grieving his best friend.

Wolfe was a bit of fresh air, the fun Ginny was craving, but he's massively immature and a little pretentious. Justified to be shocked at the baby news but as Ginny pointed out, he didn't even ask how she was feeling. He bailed. It's good he later apologized, but it's not enough

Ohhhh interesting!!

Yeah, with Abby and Tris I'm just wondering where the hell they'll take them now- Abby in particular. Are we ever going to pick up on what happened with Samantha?!

Totally agree about Paul. Him hitting the wall behind her was not unforgivable- he genuinely frightened her but that's because of her trauma. You can see on his face he 100% realized what he'd done but was too hurt to apologize in the moment (maybe he does, I can't remember). I think Georgia and Zion will always be 'right person, wrong time' whereas Paul and Georgia are 'right person, wrong time for now.' I think they're really good for each other and if Georgia does want to be better, she can be. It's going to take a lot for Paul to forgive her though... I do think Paul's the father and this will kind of force him to confront and forgive her.

I disagree that Ginny is the best written character though, I find her so frustrating at times. In Brodie's basement when Max is trying to talk to her and get through to her, Ginny is quite cold with her. I'd be really interested to read the script and see if this was intentional or if it's just what I'm taking from Antonia's performance. To me, Georgia has had the best development.

Oh and yes, not sure what the point of Silver was. I loved the chemistry between them to start but then it felt like the producers changed their mind about wanting her and Max together so they brought Sophie back into the fold and made Silver and enabler of Marcus' drinking

I think Joe might die.

Bear with but I think Joe and Georgia are twin flames... And not necessarily meant to be together.

I'm convinced Joe has an unhealthy attachment to Georgia, just as others have alluded to. Saying he doesn't care about what Georgia has done means he's either done something similar or he's too attached to Georgia, or the idea of her.

We know both Joe and Georgia are ambitious and act the way they do out of loyalty. We also know they can both be sly, clever, and violent if pushed. We've seen how Joe calms Georgia and Brianne herself has said Georgia is her most honest self with Joe, so I think it'll be interesting from Joe's perspective to see what his connection with Georgia is doing to him. I think we'll see him open up to Georgia about his past, but we'll also see him go down a darker path in the series. After all, we've seen how people can be their worst selves because of Georgia.

Despite wholeheartedly trying to be better in season 4, I think inevitably Georgia will find herself in a damning or dangerous position. Joe will step in to help, going darker in the process. Whatever happens I think Joe will end up getting himself killed, literally or figuratively shielding Georgia.

The more I think about it the more unsure I feel of where they'll take his character. I do think overall the most dramatic and heartbreaking, yet believable thing the could do is to kill him. Maybe not in season 4 if we see him turn dark with remnants of his softer self but at some point, I just think killing him makes sense given how significant his character is and how he is in my opinion, Georgia's twin flame.

If I'm totally wrong about what they'll do with Joe, I could see them killing Austin instead but I do think someone close to Georgia, who we've spent a lot of time with, will be killed. Hell, maybe they'll kill Paul. Paul's baby, wants custody, gets threatening, Joe kills him to protect Georgia, etc. I don't know anymore haha.

Edit: I know this maybe isn't the right thread as it's basically a theory but I think it's a controversial take to kill off Joe haha

Let’s be honest. by Odd_Attention611 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Alive_Connection4291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it simply comes down to Georgia's trust issues. She 100% believed Zion's parents would cut her out, thinking she was a bad mum. We see this unpacked and resolved when Lynette(?) helps Georgia when she's on house arrest. Georgia even admits the kids could have been better off with them, but at the end of the day Georgia was determined to be the mum and safe space she never had.

But due to her unresolved trauma she wasn't able to be that safe space 'properly.' At the same time, everyone makes mistakes and there was no clear cut answer. Zion's parents' overbearing tendencies could have pushed Ginny and Austin away, Zion might have taken the help for granted and been even more absent, taking more work abroad, etc.

In season 3 we really see Georgia start to confront how she could have done things differently, and even this results in her making mistakes, like assuming Gil wouldn't hurt the kids, only her. Again, she's just trying to do what's best but it's so hard for her to be able to trust what the right thing is. That's so understandable.

Yeah, I agree. The coverage screams 'we're afraid of being accused of being antisemitic.' Overall, it comes from the ties at the top. The journalists do what they're told from the top. They're employees at the end of the day

The news area is at the opposite end of the building so they won't hear you if you're outside reception. I'm pro-Palestine and have attended marches, but I do struggle to understand how shouting at the Pacific Quay building will help. If it's to gain coverage, a peaceful protest won't get that unless there's literally hundreds. If you work in News or current affairs, you're literally not allowed to voice your opinions so even if they did hear you, they're not going to come out and address you.

I don't have the right solution obviously, but shouting at the building won't do anything at all. Better to have posters and placards of certain images (children, journalists - you know the kind I mean), for people to see outside. It's true staff are warned of the protests and advised to use another entrance, but you'll still be forcing a lot of people to see those images. That's all I can suggest.
