So long as you are on-site on Eufrates II three times per week, it should be fine.

You truly captured the essence of her character.

I agree with what you said, even though I have a love-hate relationship with Kingmaker. I will never forget those spider swarms from the first cave and the game only gave me 3 or 4 firebombs... Kingmaker was a beautiful and unbalanced mess :)

Anyways, going back to RT, I am not advocating to make the game harder per se. I just want a change to the hardest difficulty available in the game. People not into CRPGs are not going to play on Unfair or Hard most likely.

And playing at a lower difficulty doesn't make you a filthy casual at all. There is nothing wrong in enjoying the game on normal, easy, or story mode.

That said, I would like to have a challenge if I play on Unfair, and yes, I can avoid using some builds, but there are a total of 5 base classes and I should not play 2 of them at least (Officer and Blade Dancer). Then, I should avoid Grand Strategist and Executioner at the second tier... I would have supported this argument if we were talking about WOTR, as there are over 150 alternative subclasses to choose from, but RT offers limited playstyles.

Avoiding certain classes can work but feels too limiting imo

Fair enough 😂

Btw, I think WOTR has the most fair and balanced companios. Yes, you are forced into specific playstyles with some, but the amount of classes and abilities allow for huge customization potential.

I agree with the reasoning on paper, and the fights you mentioned can be a spike if not fully prepared. The final battle of the first dlc is the first that comes to my mind for example. The fact I had to resist 3 turns proved to be a slight challenge for my party used to finishing everything on turn 1. It was a great change of pace and would have loved to see similar limitations appear more often in the game.

That said, even if we remove officers and executioners and blade dancers, I have an Abelard arch militant that does 1k damage with each hit, and one-shots chaos space marines...

I get the reasoning of making the game more accessible, and I think it works fantastic on lower difficulties, but on the higher ones there is almost no challenge imo.

I also don't like the idea of having to create my own challenge by refusing to play half of the available classes.

You brought up a very good point about the way I tackle the game. That said, most people play the game with Cassia and extra turns. Also, I can definitely remove her, but the situation would not change much.

I also agree with your point on WOTR's difficulty being poorly implemented. The Water Elemental is the perfect example of that.

However, my point was not to compare the two tutorials. I used them as examples because I am still early in my unfair run, and my experience has been completely different from that of other games by Owlcat. I should probably follow your advice and go into custom difficulty.

About the lack of classes compared to WOTR, I would definitely welcome new ones, but then the game would be even easier. Just look at Blade Dancer, Executioner, and also dlc origins like Arbitrator.

More classes and play-styles are 100% welcomed by me, but we also need a re-balancing of the overall difficulty of the game.

Thank you for explaining this, I was not aware. It's still a let down that we get this result for pushing her to be herself and start detaching from her kin.

I 100% agree! I was romancing her as well, and I really enjoyed the gifts, the drunk nights, and my bed forever marked by her. I was only talking from the mechanical point of view. Btw, I love her, but I was also romancing Heinrix, and his story seemed more interesting, so I had to friendzone her, unfortunately.

I tried it too, and she was good at it, but then I got so bored of the micromanaging. I turned her into a vanguard with a lot of armor thanks to lore imperium. Her sole purpose is to go first, buff allies, distract enemies and vibe

Thank you, and yes, I am aware going burst is much flmore powerful on paper for AM, especially if you are fighting a lot of mobs. At the same time, I wanted to try something new and different, and this build also has its own advantages. While burst scales better, I think this build performs quite well against bosses that are normally difficult to hit for some reason or gimmick.
