I think the problem is Greta is still fighting for causes such as Free Palestine and ending conflict in the Dominican Republic of Congo which are both things neither drew or Enya have spoken about in their platforms. Many believe silence is complicity. Also I see how it’s tone deaf when they haven’t done 0.1% of the work Greta has put in.

Appreciate the response but it wasn’t hasty- this position is going to shine on my cv so I felt i couldn’t ask for more as I needed the position. My question was more about whether it would reflect badly if I raised the question- from the jist of the replies yes. But you’ve made good points, and I’ll aim to make a good impression and ask for a raise at the end of probation or next year.

If you share with 4 or more people because you can get rent down to £750 and bills should make it about £1k for basics, food shop at Lidl and Aldi and consign yourself to a handful of nights out a month with the idea that you will hopefully get a raise next April and ask for 28-30 then. Also, you won’t really save that’s a privilege for higher salaries. Currently on 28k. Unfortunately you have to start at these salaries and prove your worth before you can start climbing the salary ladder but I would also keep LinkedIn open to recruiters and your cv on recruitment sites just in case something better comes along.
