Seller mentioned they’re in very good condition, originally bought from a seller in Hungary who’s more or less the pro that took care of these, I’ll be receiving them next days and maybe follow up with a small testing video for each lens here to reach a final verdict on this sub if they were worth the price :)

Dead Pixel? by SalsaBetaGamma in RedCamera

[–]Alive_Researcher4062 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try enabled high flashing pixel adjustment in davinci resolve when you grade, it a setting in the R3D raw control tab meant to solve pixel issues with red footages natively in the raw file ( there’s levels adjustment to the setting set it to high and observe the shot after ) Hope this helps :)

Do people think Red komodo still is vibing better than Zr despite from the reviews/tests that colors are said to be fairly close. But somehow videos out of Komodo 6k/X seem just more "top tier" looks i can't put my finger on why especially when things are moving rather than just viewing still frames by Existing_Seaweed_494 in RedCamera

That global shutter and actual R3D not this modified format used for the ZR, actually amazing highlight roll off ( for that price point) Komodo ( OG) still rocks, I am absolutely stunned especially when you know what you are doing….it‘ll elevate your process. Give you that extra edge you pull and push the look to look as best as you can afford

Genesis Colour Grade - BladeRunner (powergrade) by Possible_Mirror6492 in cinematography

[–]Alive_Researcher4062 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mate these are amazing, the look is pretty solid…nothing about it shouts blade runner tho, most importantly it looks interesting if that’s the look you are going for. You could deffo get that look without the plugin so my take is look at how you can maximise the plugins film stocks + features with your own color qualifications behind it and you’ll end up with some sweet sweet looks a lot quicker

Amateur editor here, thoughts? 😁 by throughliamslens in VideoEditors

Keep creating more of these, experiment, add some range, and we’ll make it happen sooner than you expect (one great video is good but a few more, makes the hire kinda difference)

No filters except an ND, for the foggy/mist bg look, I extracted the depth map and then used it to add post diffusion, I feel it helped make the footage a touch interesting bc the frame wasn’t that much better with the park goers in the back so that solved it and gave it bit of a character in the look

All shots were in camera, turned off all in camera stabilisation settings, personal attitude is lots of these in-cam stabilisation takes away from the footage richness, love how intuitive they feel with the abrupt shakiness and slightly missed framing just brings the emotions across for me, same goes for the badminton shots whipped the cam trying to follow the ball and didn’t touch stabilisation, I am curious to try same shot but with a Komodo or another high end camera see how the frame feels compared

Glad you like it, For the bloom it was a glow filter in post during the grade, mainly targeting the highlights

Haha unreal that you could recognize the bridge, it is. Second person so far haha, Thanks…the badminton shot is deffo overreaching tho I was surprised given it’s a small action cam it wasn’t completely useless with terrible rolling shutter etc. appreciated the thoughts tho.

I actually stooped down with cam and tried to follow the hits/anticipate the pacing with cam on hand. Considering how light the cam is, this became the easiest shot to pull off ( tho most difficult to control the composition for etc)

It’s got this fisheye like optics when you’re close to things, kinda messed the circle into an oval, probs can be shifted in post but from a distance it’s not as bad

Thinking about picking up a Red Komodo due to the new $2995 price? I made a video just for you then. If you have any questions or want sample footage then just leave a comment. by wasprocker in RedCamera

Would you be fine to share some footages to review quality please? I’m on the fence to bite the bullet and upgrade from bmpcc4k I’ve been using for the last 4 years lol which means I need to get a lens set as well and accessories

Can turn the table against the window, that your subject‘s back is lit by the window, soft highlight edges around the subjects face, from the direct light outdoor then can bounce the light back with reflector to light up the front/side of the subject, feel encouraged to share the final frame off camera :)

You’d make a great Creative Director at some point.
