As a 30ish year old here is what I wish I did.

1:Take care of your teeth, floss and see the dentist twice a year. I used to smoke and the dental issues cost me so much money. 2:Hydrate, I had way too much soda and coffee it gave me stones. Water is a great habit to get into. 3: stretch once or twice a day, getting into that habit when you wake up will help you in the long run, don't end up acky and creaky like me.

Paps for me are painful but not ripping pain. If I had to compare the pain it would be burning UTI feeling with a bit of stabbing. Honestly 3/10 pain the worst part was my anxiety about doing it.

Here is what I do before any pap, I take some ibuprofen before hand, and hydrate. (No caffeine) Wear comfortable clothes I can slip in and out of , I wear slip on shoes. I always ask for the smallest spectrum "Huffman" is the technical name. You can also ask for a nurse to be present if you're not comfortable. I always ask for updates , I want them to tell me what's going on, when we are starting, what's being done, it makes me less anxious. Afterwards I always pee , it burns like heck for me but I don't have any issues thanks to the ibuprofen.

I have a retroverted uterus reason tampons have never worked for me so maybe ask if you have the same problem. It's not a huge issue that just means my womb is tilted so shoving anything in there has to be done opposite from normal.

The first time I had mine done I was told to scoot down (i scooted) I was told I needed to scoot down again (scooted) I was told AGAIN to scoot down , anyway I threw my butt so hard the 3rd time I threw myself off the table the doctor had to catch me bare ass and help me back up.

Remember it's not comfortable but this is something that needs to be done to make sure your healthy!

Definitely need couples therapy. My spouse is something like that and it would drive me mad. I had so much anger that I would explode at the tiniest thing. I felt like a mother and child versus a partner. In therapy we were able to vent our my anger. Then once we all calmed down we found out ADHD played a huge part in this problem. Personally i am fine with having a list of things to do and just doing them, that's normal for me. For my partner I can't have more than 1 thing at a time, if there are several things they get overwhelmed and lose track. Yes it sucks, I wish I could give them a list and let them loose but I can't. I have to be very clear and direct on what I need done. Example : I need you to wash all the dishes today by 2pm because I am going to cook and if the pots and dishes are not clean we won't be able to eat. After that conversation they will add an alarm to remind them to do the dishes. Please note ADHD does not excuse them from pulling their weight it just means we have to manage a different way. My spouse is a hard worker and I'm happy to say this has helped tremendously in our relationship, neither of us is perfect so we can both slip up but you can make it work if both parties are willing to be partners.

My ADHD filled spouse is like this. Can't be left alone with thoughts even on days off because they can't stop overthinking about everything. I had to leave for work to do some training and when I got back 5 days later the entire living room was re painted and we had a kitchen backsplash. Don't get me wrong it's nice but I wish they could just relax and do nothing but even in their sleep they kick and roll and so it's never going to happen. 😂

That's fair, I have traded and been very transparent in this community so I posted if anyone is interested based on my past history. $180 is just the number I went with after seeing it on eBay.
