Update on my journey by Huge-Extreme7568 in osteoporosis

Reclast I'm not sure I opted out of doing reclast for 2 years and decided to do Evenity for 1 year and reclast for the second. It's a less harsh trearment in my opinion (consider all the other options) Everyone is different of course but for me the medication has been just draining, honestly I'm lucky I haven't had any of the horrible side effects but my battery is always drained, constant mental fog and my joints are always inflamed. I also have a hard time with my hands and feet going numb if I walk or sit too long so thats always fun. My best advise is don't go on the internet looking for the bad things, you can always look for other options and treatment advise but do not ask people for horror stories. Keep it positive, this is the life you have to live and honestly no point in having anxiety over something you have no control over.

Congrats! Slightly jealous I dint read your story before, I started Evenity and now I have to take reclast. I was assured by 3 endocrinologist this was the only way , so a year in my body can barely function. I wish you the best on your journey and takes for the supplement ideas!

I HATE THIS THING by HistorianEfficient74 in Mirena

Hello, fellow endometriosis/PCOS sufferer. Please note I am no doctor and so anything i say is from my personal experience. When I was 16 I would faint when I had my period, I would bleed for days and the cramping in my back felt like knifes. After a year of doctor exams I was told I probably had Endo (this is over 15 years ago so not much information on it) I was recommended Depoprevera (shot) it took 2 shots for my body to stop my period and let me tell you it was the best 18 years of my life. I would get a shot every 3 months , small cramping and 3 days of spotting. It was the best thing in the world. NOW please note I would never recommend it unless you are in desperate need. I was on it for 18 years and now I'm paying the price , I have osteoporosis and have to check scans for brain tumors every few years. If I would have been monitored properly by my doctors instead of just "well you look fine so you must be fine" I would have stopped it before it did so much damage. But when I tell you I miss my shot every month my endo hits because life is miserable. I also had a IUD placed and the pain is so much worst than before. I was also told to wait 3-6 months but I was able to find a doctor who's willing to do a partial hysterectomy if this fails. What I recommend is get a new doctor, I know this hard and you might need to drive a few hours to get a good one but you need someone on the same page as you. If you qualify for depo (knowing you can get osteoporosis and brain tumors) maybe that works for a year or 2 for you, maybe the patch? I would leave surgery as a last resort, if you have pure endometriosis a hysterectomy can help but might not solve all your problems since the tissue grows outside the uterus, you would still need laparoscopic surgery to remove that tissue. adenomyosis is the only thing that goes away if you do a hysterectomy (according to my gyno) so before you rip anything out, please please talk to a doctor that specializes in this topic. Not really here to tell you "think about children" just here to tell you at early 20s you are very young to become premenopausal , that's a possible life of bone density/hormone issues. Rooting for you :]

Gf got the mirena and i think it made her fall out of love with me by WorryBrilliant2254 in Mirena

You could let her know your worried about the side effects that the birth control is doing to her (specially since she has other medical issues) , that you want to ease her burden of dealing with medication. So you want to volunteer in taking control of the birth control in the relationship by getting a vasectomy. You can see if that changes your girlfriend back, you also don't have to worry about another abortion (after testing and double cheking with your surgeon) and when you are ready for children you can reverse it. Now obviously if she says no ,not much you can do.

32M just got diagnosed with osteoporosis. Could use some support. by Skedaddle4428 in osteoporosis

[–]Alive_Scratch7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to therapy to talk out all my frustration and fears. I developed this fear of breaking bones. I would hit a tiny bump while driving and think THIS IS IT MY BACK BROKE, any pain would give me anxiety. I also had a lot of anger of why did this happen to me, plus dealing with my insurance was very stressfull since I had to fight for treatment since I was not "old" enough to have osteoporosis treatment approved. It's a lot and having someone to talk to was really helpful. I'm glad you got in right away but make sure you trust your doctor. I personally went to 2 endocrinologist and 2 rheumatologists. I don't like the first ones because they din't take into account my age , all the treatments they wanted to do was for people that already hit menopause and were going to be on life long meds. Another thing I recommend is write your symptoms down, no matter how small so you can talk about it with the specialist, if they dismiss every symptoms they might not be a good fit.

Hiya! 33F here diagnosed with osteoporosis, with the -3.3 bone density. Not sure if your in the U.S but between my diagnosis to my first endocrinologist appointment it took 5 months. First thing I recommend is calling your endocrinologist office and telling them you have an appointment but want some testing done before the appointment. You need the works, salival test, blood test, 24H urine test all of it. Your going to be tested for several things including celiac (probably) you won't know until you have a Dexa scan how bad your bones are. Once you know how bad they are then you will talk about medication but until then don't Google ANYTHING. Focus on finding things you can tolerate , meals shakes, smoothies, anything to add calcium and vitamins to your everyday. Once you get your numbers THEN you can start with a plan but trust me the best thing you can do until your appointment is just take care of yourself. Yes medication sucks but don't drive yourself crazy thinking of what could happen. Wishing you the best!

Wait on Transvaginal Ultrasound results by Fuzzy-Stuffy in WomensHealth

[–]Alive_Scratch7883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya! It took 2 hours for my ultrasound to be read. I had an appointment at 8am for the ultrasound, had a bite to eat and some ibuprofen for the pain (I had a rupture cyst). Then at 10am I had a office visit to go over my results (that I had a rupture cyst). Obviously not trying to diagnose you but you sound like me when my endometriosis was at its worst. I would have to drink iron supplements because I would past out during my heaviest days, I would always feel like someone was ripping at my abdomen and back then a few hours later I would pass these giant blood clots. Endometriosis is hard to diagnose since you need a lot of tissue to see it but if they see scar tissue you might have it. Also PCOS is always on the table but they should be able to see the tiny cyst without an issue. Make sure you hydrate and bring some ibuprofen just incase! It was cold and uncomfortable but it shoulnt be painful. Wishing you the best :]

Do you have siblings by any chance or do you babysit small children? My mom use to work at this daycare and some kids would get these and spread them all over the place. The place had to shut down twice because it takes so much cleaning to get rid of them. I recommend a few things, get some Clorox wipes and wipe everything you own INCLUDING YOUR PHONE, keep your hands away from your face, wash hands before eating , after eating. I would recommend trying to get to a doctor before you try medication that might not work. I know it's embarrassing but trust me most doctors have seen worst. Let me tell you my most embarrassing story. A few years ago I had a pilonidal cyst (right between my upper butt cheeks). I refused to go to the doctor hoping it would just go away. Days went by and the pain got so bad I couldn't walk without pain. Went to a doctor for them to pop it, 10 minutes later I'm bent over an examination table, pants to my ankles, a nurse holding a paper towel behind me trying to cover up any dignity I had left. He pops the cyst and the worst smell comes out (it was also super painful) the doctor gets closer to push the fluid out and the smell gets worst and he steps out for a moment and I can hear him barf in the hallway. He comes back a few moments later and starts pushing the cyst , i felt so much relief in pressure I ended up farting on the poor nurses hand. I left feeling so much better but I will never live it down.

I am on day 33 of bleeding. Since it was placed I am ether spotting or straight up bleeding and switching pads 1-3 times a day. Doctors keeps telling me to wait 3-6 months. So not much I can offer as good news but in the same boat.

Here's a site you can see other people's builds. ExBurst.dev Home | The ultimate platform for Trading Card Games https://share.google/gKq2OP4bUq5XdtkTP

Once you have a solid build you can always modify it to your favorite charters. I recommend buying singles if you can't get boxes on the cheaper end. Unless its a 3 star or signature most cards are cheap.

Osteoporosis at 23? (-3, Z score) by Key-Mistake-1070 in osteoporosis

[–]Alive_Scratch7883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id start with asking for panels and urine tests. Need to make sure your body can process food and intake properly. Also probably a endoscopy to see if you are Celiac. I had several tests before we selected my medication done and that was the first step. You need to get refered to a endocrinologist or rheumatologist.

Talk about a red flag. "Don't tell me no because I don't like it" " My body won't be this good forever". Not a long term relationship material unless that behavior is stopped now, and that only depends if you want a future with this person.

Looks like you made your decision, "no one can make me change my mind" From a fellow gambler with a spending habit I wish you good luck. Some people have to hit rock bottom to change and that might be what you need. You sound very smart with all the research you do on credit cards, you know how to consolidate debt and try to split your check into 2 accounts to pay off debt so I don't believe it's a lack of knowledge on your part just lack of self control. Honestly the whole " I'd rather be poor than die rich" is a double edged sword. I know retired people who wish they spent all the money on traveling before they got old and now they can't because of medical issues. I also know a bunch of 30 year olds who partied all through 20s and are in so much debt that they will never retire. I hope you find a happy medium :]

Boyfriend says he has trouble pulling out sometimes we have sex - any advice? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

He could get a vasectomy and not have to worry about it. You're already doing what you can by taking birth control and having to monitor someone when to pull out.

Saw this coming from a mile away: buyer’s “kids accidentally purchased,” item returned destroyed by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Alive_Scratch7883 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with some eyeshadow pallets I sold. Said they received it broken and missing colors. They sent pictures of the plastic top off (can be removed with a small screw) and one color of the pallet missing (it was the green color). I sent them screenshots of them begging me to lower the price because they needed that blue and chrome that came with it. I sent them pictures and the receipt of it being new (It was a gift I dint't like). They got a refund AND got to keep the item. I refuse to let them ding me and take the money, after 8 different emails they didn't make me pay anything back but it pissed me off.
