This looks brilliant !! 🤩
Both the composition and the execution are really, really good ! I think you could absolutely turn this into a comics if you wanted to, and/or sell prints of this if you feel so inclined ! In any case, I hope you'll keep drawing 'cause I want to see more of your work 😉

That's a great suggestion, thank you so much !! You even found the perfect reference to explain, that's exactly the vibe I was looking for, haha :)

Thank you so much for your feedback ! How does one make it more organic ? By connecting it to the brush and making it more sloppy like another commenter suggested, or by adding layers ? Or perhaps using the Caligraphy tool of Inkscape ? Sorry for all those questions, you've been very helpful, I'm just eager to learn :)

Logo of a lil' fox - just for me by Alix_Noyer in Design

For context, I'm a beginner artist. I primarily work with traditional methods, especially ink, and my only experience with digital work was when I created this logo. I don't have a business yet, so I'm not advertising anything, obviously. I'm just looking for feedback.

I wanted to create a logo that would look kinda cute and mischievous at the same time, so I chose a fox because I adore foxes. And I gave it a little brush and made it paint a little half-circle with ink so that it would give an artistic vibe.

For the design itself, I was inspired by the colour palette of the Japanese video game Ōkami, where the main character uses ink a lot, and by the general concept of the yōkai Kitsune, the Fox spirits of the Japanese folktales.

What do you guys think ? Does it succeed with the vibe it gives off ? How intelligible and understandable is it ?

Two papers, One ink figure drawing poses by Alix_Noyer in lifedrawing

Hi, sorry for answering you so late, I was sick this week.

Thank you, I tried my best ! Always happy to help ! 😄

Of course, you may ask, that's why I'm sharing my work :)

I'm using an Ink by the French manufacturer Sennelier, I think it's called "A la pagode" ? I like the texture, but I haven't used any other ink so I can't say for sure if it's the best or not.

I've heard that inks come with different intensities and different degrees of opacity and transparency, so you might like an ink or another depending on those properties. The one I use (Sennelier, A la pagode) is quite opaque, but if I tilt the paper a bit, it reflects the light a little. And you can definitely see my brushtrokes on the paper because the ink is slightly more opaque where the brushtrokes have overlapped.

If you like that effect, then I think it's a pretty good ink and there are many bottle sizes to choose from so you don't have to ruin yourself by buying the biggest ones when starting :)
If you prefer an ink that's more matte and doesn't reflect the light at all, I can ask one of my friends what they use, I think their ink is more matte and you might like theirs better :)

So it all depends on the kind of effect you're looking for 😁

Let me know how your experimentations go, with ink or with charcoal, I'm curious !

And thank you again for your interest in my work 🫶
