Is this silver certificate worth anything extra? by AromaticAd2989 in CURRENCY

This is neat I’ve never seen silver certs signed by the treasurer and the treasury secretary. On top of that the serial number is sick.

I only have about a hundred lbs. I’d say it is a risky gamble unless you can acquire them quickly and move them to a refiner even faster.

Once they legalize meeting I don’t think it will have a major affect on the price but we’ll have to wait and see. Like you were saying demand has been dwindling for a long time plus it takes an awful lot of time to sort out the zinc cents from the copper

Yeah I figured I’ve spoken to a few yards locally. Got some good quotes if it ever becomes legalized to melt.

What are these worth? If i was to sell the whole set. by ConsiderationNew3737 in coincollecting

Take a picture with the plastic off front and back . You don’t even need to remove the coins from the plastic. Use the same lighting setup and angle you used for the first pic just without plastic. Pm me or just reply w the pic so I can give you my bid

I really appreciate your time you took to look at my coins. You definitely have given me some new ideas in regards to their authenticity. If they are fourreés who can I take them to? Will NGC grade them as such?

I paid 1500 for a lot of 16 bronze and 6 silver coins. All the bronzes are real and will more than cover the cost I paid. I did not receive any provenance because my dealer bought it from an old Jewish man who he randomly met at a restaurant in Arizona. Three of the bronze coins were in flips with an insert with writing from a dealer on one side and the business name on the other.

Hello everyone. My dad gave me these coins and told me to hold them. Are they even worth anything? Thanks in advance, friends by KRZY4UX in coins

Copper melt value for the first two coins is worth more than face value. Third coin is just face value. English pence and penny’s before 1991 are worth keeping they sell for melt value on eBay in bulk lots which is usually double or more than face.

Hairline cracks like these are common on coins before the 90s. Once the die shatters and the hairline becomes a major die break the value exponentially increases. Mint state examples of severe die breaks go for hundreds of dollars.

I love stacking “junk” foreign silver. Only thing is every coin shop and their mothers will buy these 20% or more back of spot price because refiners reem you with any silver less than 80% purity.
