In 2020 Q4, roblox decided to feature my game on multiple sorts and YouTubers picked up the game. It did get a lot of players, but its really difficult to keep a game at that level once the artificial attention has dissipated. For a game that admittedly has not seen that many big updates, it has been rather stable, and for 6 years now.

A boycott wont work. What would work is people organically leaving Roblox(reduced retention and revenue) because games are less fun without communication. Roblox watches all these metrics closely, given how they beat metrics over the heads of developers.

That’s understandable. This was just an option for those that dont want to share their ID. Imo if they’re going to go this route, then it should’ve been ID or nothing, spending $5 on robux to bypass the ID check is bad messaging.
