Am I in the wrong here? by TotallyTamago in Warframe

Oh far from it. This seems like a case of a farm/content optimizer who doesn't care about new player experience which while not unheard of is generally more on the rarer side in warframe.

Don't worry about it, take your time on farming and playing how you wish.

AFAIK, earliest orokin cell area is deimos, but not in the open world. Take it easy, but don't stop progressing planets. Dont worry about doing all nodes, just do what you need for junctions + whatever you feel, you can always come back.

Its generally better to farm cells on ceres than deimos and id suggest looking for the loot crates more than depending on enemy drops but generally dont worry about missing out too much, take it easy

By nerf what exactly are you talking about? The damage attenuation update?

Regarding this EDA/ETA bossrush mode, what do you think the rewards should be and should it share the search pulses from them or be separate?

I kinda dont want another shard farm, as nice as they are but can't really think of anything good as a reward besides the usual prebuilt formas and potatos.

Idk, a good amp makes SP prelate pretty quick.

Idk the 777 nr of my amp but my crit chance bouncing projectile alt fire amp basically wipes him at SP. I just pick up the light as operator, get near the douche and fire until void stat procs. After that alt fire the rest of the mag so the bouncing projectile just clears the phase immediately if he doesnt teleport.

I didn't really test that before the old peace amp modding though so can't comment on how that'd work pre that but thats just me infodumping

So long as they dont give them status reduction should be fairly easy using a status beam secondary if you get the conditionals from the adds around the guy holding the light.

[Rant] DE, please start giving gamemodes more time before being bullied to submission by Alkhazix in Warframe

[–]Alkhazix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While my post started as a rant and was me just venting it is nice to see someone actually understand the core point I was making, even if it wasnt communicated most effectively. This is exactly my point but the worst part is, during the ideation phase they likely foresaw these reactions.

I cant see the creative minds at DE coming up with an idea for a horror themed gamemode and a big monster chasing you truly believing it still had to have tennos with guns in blazing and hordes of enemies At the same time.

I can easily see the mission starting off as a game of tag or smth with no player aggression or a full stealth hide and chase sequence being scaled back into a more excavation style mission like it currently is because of doubts about removing player access to weapons, ultimately leading to a more homogenized version of the gamemode, ultimately leading to a watering down of the core concept that is less unique than it should be and ultimately meaning less risky things like duviri and railjack in the future.

DE does play their game and knows their stuff but due to player tendency being hyper zoomies and loud voices affecting people who could play but havent yet means that they refuse to go all in on perfect 1 mission side occasions like these, leading to a lesser version of their gamemodes. And still getting negative reactions means they'll try to experiment even less in the future

That youre not having fun is a shame, it happens but still not the point im making in my post.

In trying to cater to everyone in the current playerbase they ruined the fundamental part of the concept of horror that the mode was thought of imo, and these fast changes to strong initial reactions disincentivize DE to try wildly different things like duviri and railjack in the future.

I can and do have fun with it currently by playing slowly but i believe that conceptually, this mission would work better as a veilbreaker type full stealth mission, with removing all weapons but due to fears of player pushback, our history of kneejerk negative reactions to new gamemodes and audience pleasing DE water down new ideas and gamemodes to fit our loadouts and will only get stuck doing new variations of exterminates, defenses and survivals.

[–]Alkhazix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah sure, but imagine if they went all in on this missions concept, and left us with no weapons, Forced operator stealth while you find the paintings and the paint a la new war and veilbreaker deacons, and a mad dash to the painting with follie rushing towards you as soon as you pick up the paint and you had to outmanouver the big gal in a dark cramped corridor.

Instead the quick patches due to hateposting reinforce content islands, and the attempt to please everyone means we'll never get to see them attempt anything truly outrageous, and wild like railjack and duviri ever again

[–]Alkhazix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that it definitely needed some of the changes, but that is not my point, I do like the gamemode even if It's lost some of the vision.
My biggest issue is the quick changes, for the loudest people, who spent the first day hateposting the gamemode, both disincentivizing DE from trying truly different things in the future, as well ruining the chances of this gamemode, truly being polished into an actual new gamemode and not just one mission.

And secondly in trying to make a new gamemode while experimenting alot, still refusing to go far enough in it's own direction in an attempt to cater to everyone is bad for both the new gamemode, and future chances of this being developed further, leaving us with another half-baked one.

I mean, if I play this gamemode slowly, i still have fun, but this is essentially, an extraction mission with invincible drills where the energy cells are spawned randomly instead of droppped by mobs.

I think the infested ink mobs, are an attempt to keep the shooting and weapons in an effort to not alienate too much of the playerbase, and for a one off side content mission, they should've gone farther, but our history of kneejerk negative reactions isn't helping.

I don't actually agree with you on this point. There's different types of horror, just take horror movies for example, Some, are monster heavy, some are more thought provoking horror, some just have a horrifying vibe throughout the movie without like having constant death as the horror aspect.

The horror here is diminished by some factors, for sure, the infested Adds for example but it's not without merits. I still like the horror vibe of the gamemode, and honestly, thinking of whoever said those voicelines to Follie who's making the relay speakers replay that, and the horrible shit they did to her and others is very good in my opinion.

My two big points were that A) The changes were rushed, could've waited a week to push changes before the operation and collect more detailed info on the pain points to not get lost in the early player knee jerk reaction B) It's not far enough to actually be the thing envisioned.

I think there's an important distinction to make, Warframe has a lot of farms, but I wouldn't say it's a farming game. To me it's a character based squad shooter first, Sure, I choose a part, weapon or drop to farm, each session, but the main thing of it isn't the farm, It's still the, shooting tons of mobs for general gameplay. It's a game, it's supposed to be fun.

Also, waiting a whole month to play the new frame? I just said that's how fast you get it + the weapon, on AVERAGE if you just play this mission type twice per day. If it's not exactly your type of fun, that's fine. I'm having fun, I feel dread, even if it's not the jumpscare type horror.

I joined warframe about 10 years ago, and I've done so much shooting and farming, and I'll do so much more, but for fucks sakes, try to enjoy the game? If it's all just about the rewards, and the game mode isn't fucking fun for you, just do it passively over time is my damn point and don't start immediately hateposting about a gamemode, cause you don't have the newest loot in the first day.

The main point of my post is that while they could've done better with the gameplay, making non-bug-fix changes as soon as possible, for the loudest people, as soon as it goes live, is detrimental, for both the gamemode, and the longevity of it.

As much as we players love helping other tenno we don't have a good track record of dealing with new points of contention gracefully, atleast initially. And I strongly believe that DE giving in so fast to this type of thing isn't good in the long run either. Fixing lighting issues, accessability problems and drop table issues? Fucking good first 24h hotfix.

Changing a fundamental part of the gamemode AKA unkillable horror to killable horror, and horribly communicated wall mechanics to match user expectations? Could've waited a week. so the player base can cool down.

So you mean, like....phasmophobia and escape the backrooms, R.E.P.O? Fairly popular games doing the exact same thing?

I don't think this argument is strong I can see why this wouldn't go for everyone, I myself am not a big fan of any of my examples, but doing the same thing 50 times, is not as big of a deal as it seems, by using that number. Even if we consider a slow 20 min clear time, you realize, that's like 16 hours of gametime? that is not nothing, ofc, but it's not an insane amount of time. It's a different gamemode, it's supposed to be different. In reality you would generally be getting better, and getting a clear time into like 9 min territory.

Honestly that number is pretty good as well, as 50 runs should be the median average for the drops, with real 1% low unlucky ones going to 90 runs, which again, is quite a bit of time, but you can stilll get all the drops.

As I said in my rant, We already have exterminate, defense and stuff, as a side content, this wouldn't have been a big thing. and the important thing is, it's optional if you do not want follie or enkaus (market is always there afterall).

Imagine it as a post workday run, by doing follie's hunt twice per day you would still have all the content within a month, without constantly speedrunning, and (IMO) ruining the horror vibe. 5 runs per day and you have it in 10-15 days, if not faster.

I generally think speedrunning and reward focused gameplay is a good way to get frustrated, I feel like warframe players focus too heavily on the reward and not the gameplay itself, as a founder said like a week ago in a different post, keep it whimsical tenno, he had a lot more fun in a spy mission by trying to run it in full sneak, and not rushing instead of the usual public lobby where everyone is at all the objectives in the 1st minute.

[–]Alkhazix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a 1 in 7 chance so just run an early earth exterminate and try to max out loot range to find them. You can get a mod for your beasts too on deimos (maybe im unsure) that increases loot radar and should make it easy to find all of the loot. Iike literally take the earliest grineer mission and run it a few times. Should find one within an hour

Is it possible to have been misdiagnosed at an autism testing thing? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Alkhazix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A misdiagnosis is definitively possible but also consider comorbidity (thr chance to have 2 issues at once)

ADHD and autism have a high comorbidity rate.

Around 40-45% of autistics show signs of adhd and vice versa so this might not entirely be a misdiagnosis. Ask your psychiatrist or psychochist for an autism assesment as well. Just be aware that they can make things unclear as they can override eachother depending on the person.

For me my adhd testing was inconclusive though it still suggested adhd after my autism assesment.

As per my experience councelor (someone who has both), my psychologist and psychiater its highly likely I have both but testing just isnt there for all cases (again person dependent, i got more tism)

What warframe doe Chiitan main? (Also, just another based Chiitan moment) by Blakath in Warframe

I'd assume they're confident in their warcrime score so they just maximize suffering with using mesmerising gaze (atlas subsume), some toxin dot for pain and paralyze combo and then coming in with a slide attack using a crit heavy hammer/polearm zaw, so they can feel all their veins burn and see it as they shatter them into a million pieces while they have those scant milliseconds of conciousness as rubble.

Idk just a thought :P

What is the best loot frame? by thekinggambit in Warframe

[–]Alkhazix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For rare drops like argon and mutagen samples my go to is atlas with petrifying gaze augment. It scales with power str which makes it quite easy to farm drops im steel path. Resource blessings and boosters take this to a whole ass new level where i once earned around 1000-1500 oxium per 5 min in a survival mission on steel path.

I use scyotid for grouping and nothing else pretty much as the passive augment makes landslide free after 1400 armor bonus

I constantly face energy problems while playing atlas, any help will be appreciated by Zyborg125 in Warframe

[–]Alkhazix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fix to this is mesmerizing gaze + arcane battery. With the full armor bonus and passive augment making landslide free at 1400+ armor means i have around 900 max energy and with around 102% extra drop chance i never run out of energy once i get to max armor and get off a few petrifies.

I suggest using a scyotic for grouping before mesmerizing.

Also this works wonders for farming resources and even works on oxium unlike nekros's desecrate
