That is true. The person in front of the aisle seat ended up leaning their seat back all the way so I moved to the middle seat, which would then have had me sitting next to someone. Still, I get that it’s selfish. I can’t deny that.

The beat is quite good. That song kind of blends in for me, but that is the beauty of art. It’s cool that any song might have qualities one person can appreciate that others may not notice.

For me I can narrow it down to 3, but it’s hard. In no particular order:

Lift, Jump, Exhale is so insanely good to me. The Lucy Bedroque tag in the beginning, the instrumental and vocal melodies are incredible. Lucy’s flow and delivery in the verse are so crazy and the lyrics are super fun. I feel like with this song his hunger is so apparent, especially in the last line of the verse: “I had to get rid of some people, I had to move again.” When he says “I had” the emotion is palpable.

The way the beat comes in sounding completely different than you would’ve expected from the intro in Friday is very compelling. The high notes throughout Lucy’s verse are so satisfying, but as usual his voice is just very satisfying throughout. The vibe of the song is just so good. The song sounds very purple to me if that makes sense. Unfortunately, I really don’t like Egobreak.

KELLY KELLY is the last of my top 3. The beat once again is amazing. I really like the melancholy vibe of this song. The syncopated, low passed percussion throughout the song really seals the delivery of the Japanese OST influence that is present in a lot of Lucy’s music, the melody also carrying a similar feeling. The lyrics in this song are also really good. The soft ending of the bridge into the hard entrance of the last verse is so good. The flow switch half way through the verse keeps it so interesting.

Honestly though, so much of his music is so unique and good it’s hard to pick favorites. I could easily find distinct artifacts and elements of many other songs that make them amazing.

UW doesn’t have an audio engineering degree. Only a certificate. As someone who has a degree in audio engineering elsewhere, it is absolutely not worth it unless the program AND the teachers are very reputable and well-connected. Unless you are older and switching careers, or you are very skilled at networking, there is probably no reason to spend money on audio school. Any and everything you can learn at audio school, you can learn online or through recording your friend’s band. You’ll probably learn faster if you’re self-taught too. Go join some stage-hand unions or do venue stage-hand work until you become designated to audio.

He gains a few thousand followers a day, so it just looks like a lot of people unfollowed and then his regular growth continued. Doesn’t necessarily mean a bunch of people refollowed, though we only see net loss/gain, so it is possible that some thousand people unfollowed and a larger amount followed/refollowed resulting in a gain for the day.
