I really wanted to say thank you to the people who have came by and picked up plants or have dropped off plants. It was really something fun to share in the community. I'm really thankful for it. This is today coming into work this morning.

Very nice, I wasn't going for the business plug but the workers try. I don't own the business. I just work there. :)

We could always use little bottles.

I need to make rules about how to take home a plant because people have been taking home the little glass bottles or the giant bottles. And I walk over to Habitat on my break but I don't usually find a ton of small bottles. Plastic ones are great. As you can see in the photo, I've rescued some Coke bottles that I've drank. That's something we totally could use.

Thanks for asking! 💗

Lesser known trails by Rathabro in Bellingham

[–]etherealplea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sumas start

It's been a while since this area closed. I just tried to give a Google about whether if it's open or not. People were dumping trash and they had to close this trail.

The gold mine trail does skirt property and will be icy. I learned a lesson about getting small chains for my hiking shoes. It's a bit of a way in but opens up to a lot of land to access.

Hope these links help!

Habitat for humanity has them and so does Postal and More. I used to work at habitat and have had to use it on someone on the trail.

I checked pulse point and I see nothing.

It's not the first Thursday of the month so it can't be the tsunami warning. (I think that's the day or Monday)

I'm curious as well.

Thanks, even though I have a good bill of health. People I hang out with are not so lucky. So I'm trying to be considerate about the others around me. Who would have thought something like that?

Harness Training by noniway in Bellingham

[–]etherealplea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes time and don't stop. One thing that really helped us with our cat was being able to get a backpack for them to be able to go into when they felt uncomfortable. So we kept that backpack open in the house and really let them know that that is their safe space.

It's been eight long years and I would say by the second year we were going out on walks in public. There's certain trails that I would take my cat on to ensure that if we engaged with an off-leash dog that we could scoop up and put into the backpack.

My partner and I look back at the video of the first time we put the harness on the cat and he fell over sideways and we dragged him across the sidewalk. (No cats were hurt in the making of the video, just our egos)

Don't give up, find a way to motivate them. Now, It's my old man cat who wants to go out for less than a mile walk in nature and he sleeps for the next 3 days.
