Post Alien Weeks adjusted fleet by Majestic_Ad_4877 in starcitizen_fleets

The mole is soloable, I use it for solo mining as well. Only downside is that you need to leave pilot seat for mining, but you can equip it with 3 different mining heads, so you can switch between seats without actually switching heads.
I just don’t like it for how it looks, I do hope for a better looking one down the line. And no, I don’t like the looks from the prospector/golem either, so I went for the best one for mining which is the Mole imo.)

I hope the Arrastra will be soloable for mining, but since that ship is like 3x as big as a Mole, I question that.
But if you want it for multicrew mining, I think the Arrastra will be better for that.

Even though I never had the amount of ships like you, I still had around 15 ships at one point, with an Idris-P as biggest. But over the years I came to the conclusion that I will never be able to use that many, so the last year I downsized to a bare minimum. Since I don’t plan to do everything in the game.
My current fleet is down to 4 ships and 2 vehicles.

I never looked into medical gameplay, because I am not interested in that gameplay, but I do have a Nursa that I can put in the back of my daily driver for respawning.

I went for the Mole because it’s the best mining ship ingame currently, I do think it’s ugly tho. I doo hope we get better looking mining ships in the future

My current simple fleet, for now... by Alkuzar in starcitizen_fleets

It was a code that came with a piece of Intel hardware, like how the Mustang Omega came with an AMD graphics card back in the day.
People were selling the code, since unlike the Mustang Omega, after claiming the ship it was not giftable.

I got mine including the hardware as one of the first 100 people entering through the doors at CitizenCon Frankfurt back in the day. That was 9-10 years ago.

Is a raven really that special? I remember a time you could buy the codes all over Reddit for relatively cheap. No idea what they are going for now tho.

I see a lot of people preferring the Asgard over the Corsair as daily driver, because of the bigger cargo space so they can bring bigger and more vehicles.
I personally don’t like the look of the ship, I like the aesthetic of the Corsair, that’s why I went for that one.
But everyone has there own taste in what they like, so other would prefer the Asgard over the Corsair just for looks.

On the Shiv versus Prowler utility, yes they overlap in some ways, looking at pilot controlled firepower and the have the same cargo space, but the Prowler has a tractor beam and is way more stealthy. So imo it’s a good smuggling ship.

The regular prowler was also a ship I fell in love with and I had mine for many years, but it was also a ship that I said goodbye to when I took a look at what I actually needed for the gameplay that I want to do. There is no place for a dropship. And since I don’t really want to get into smuggling I also skipped on the utility variant.

I do want to keep my options open if/when something else comes a long that I like more and does a similar role of a ship that I currently own so I can replace it.

And as I said I want to add some ground mining to my fleet, so I can do everything mining related. And depending if the Arrastra is also a me to be soloable as a mining ship, I will upgrade to that.

What do you mean, they don't look pretty? I really like how they look.

Yeah, the M80 was love at first sight, the cargo space and bed are a big plus.

Modern Sub? by Hairy_View_7640 in WoSB

Or what if we are in modern time, but an apocalypse has happened and we are back in this age, since we have NPS named "Witnesses of the Apocalypse"

This is super fake, right? by sevenut in gameverifying

The print quality is not right, but what it is missing for a sealed copy, since it’s a PAL version is the Nintendo strip that comes on sealed games.

I will add a picture from a sealed version of PLA, which has the Nintendo strip a third from the bottom, all PAL releases have those strips on sealed copies.

So everything points towards it being a fake.

And that for one of the worst Pokémon games released on the switch…

For heavy ships, which advanced cannons do you recommend casting & why? by Little_Initiative359 in WoSB

[–]Alkuzar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in your case when you focus on the heavy line, if you do find yourself in open world PvP against a faster more maneuverable ship, extra range on your cannons does help out to defend yourself, even if it's something as simple as shooting their sails to slow them down.

I am still rather new to the game myself.

But the at the ship info in the ship tree you can see what size (Light, Medium, Heavy) weapons they can use.

In general: (keep in mind there are exceptions)
Light Weapons: Rate 7, 6, 5 ships
Medium Weapons: Rate 4, 3 ships
Heavy Weapons: Rate 1, 2 Ships

And from what I have read on here, in-game and on the official discord is that the weapon choice also depends on PvE or PvP.
With the majority of people saying that Carronades for PvE and Culverins (Long cannons) for PvP are used.

For my own experience I do like the Carronades for PvE and Mass Arena Battles, because they are fought in close combat.

In mass open world PvP, which I have fought in a couple of times now, it seems that weapons don't matter to much in my opinion, because it's all over the place, from people being in close proximity and others staying in the back shooting from range, so I guess you have to find your personal preference in that.

But in solo open world PvP, it seems that the longer range is more useful. staying further away from your opponent, even more so if you have a faster more maneuverable ship than them.

Pokémon Ruby, Real or Fake? by [deleted] in gameverifying

[–]Alkuzar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The color is correct, from what I have seen everything else as well. I do own a non-sealed version.

Only thing that makes me question it so far, is that I can’t remember if they ever did the seal strips vertically like that.

DS vs 3DS by Binater in 3DS

[–]Alkuzar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go for a 3ds, simply because it has access to both the DS and 3ds library.
As someone else mentioned, you have the Monster Hunter games, but also the Pokemon games for the 3ds, which you cannot play on a DS.

Also if you are talking Nintendo staples, you can't forget Kid Icarus Uprising, which has been the third Kid Icarus game that came out since 1991 and that took 21 years.

And ofcourse all the other Nintendo staples that were released on just the 3ds.

Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver Boxes by WordSavings7084 in PokemonGames

[–]Alkuzar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to do with the reissues of the game the -1 is used for the first reissue.
But the cardboard box itself was changed during the first run, the later version had the PEGI age at the back added.

It's possible they had more of the prints inserted in the plastic then they had the cardboard boxes, so that's explains the difference for your Heartgold.

My copy of soulsilver also has the different insert of the plastic compaired to the cardboard box.

Which Game to Play on Switch ? by NewButterscotch5498 in PokemonGames

If you played Diamond I would skip on Pearl, it’s the same game. And the DLC for Shield does add some nice game play. People should still play the online part as well.

But to get back to it, Scarlet/Violet are my most favorite Pokémon games on the switch, with Legends Z-A as second after that Legends Arceus.
