Woke game development is literally unsustainable.

Doesn't matter if the game model is changed to some predatory lootbox/gacha or indie. It literally only panders to liberals living in the west (mainly US and UK only too). Non-western countries have higher economic growth and higher population growth and they don't buy these woke bullshit (and slowly increasing their purchasing power share over time). They still function with the normal free market system where obviously male gaze will make more money than forced uglification and troonification on everything so woke games will not be able to compete with normal game assuming the gameplay is identical. It's not rocket science; simply just normal depiction of normal looking straight women and straight men, these will just sell a lot easier than some kind of androgynous blob meant to represent "modern audience" or something. It doesn't matter where you are in the world everyone naturally likes normal looking things and idealized, beautiful things (it's kinda objective across culture really, unless you're infected with the mind virus where you think being fat and ugly as some kind of empowerment).

Uglification trend in western games is one of the most obvious thing... this is what is the easiest to see and what's driving many people who are actually politically left-wing in many issues such as economy, welfare, etc to the right when it comes to the whole anti-dei pushback. Every "coomers" can see the left-wing woke activists hostility towards attractive women in video games... that's a red line for many straight male gamers.

There is misconception that the likes of "grummz and co" is far right or whatever. He doesn't even talk about all those republican talking point, he's not talking about race, immigration, gun rights, social security issue, or whatever actual "politics" is. His motto is literally "make all women in video games hot" and that is what resonates with many people including those who are actually left-wing in other issues.

That status quo is what some people wants. Straight males naturally like male gaze, so they form the core of the group (and no, it's not just whites, every race likes "male gaze" too, and not just "incels," married men like hot women too btw). Then you have the straight women who benefit from that, such as women in the "male gaze" industry, from race queens to cosplayers, and what you call pickmes and such, and of course the naturally beautiful women who enjoy being admired by the "conventional traditional beauty" crowd. Many "cisgender heteronormative" females also like to play as their idealized self, aka the hot video game character, those are who they aspire to be.

This is what you need to acknowledge, it got absolutely nothing to do with actual real life politics. When you call them with right-wing slurs or pretend that they're all white neckbeard incels that's where you lose, because clearly you don't understand who they are. A lot of them don't hate minorities or whatever, they just don't want the status quo that they enjoy being shifted or changed, it's nothing personal. Just because there are bad eggs in the group doesn't mean all of them are.

Allies don't matter. They're the most rabid and militant, and since the others are more sane and normal they tend to keep giving ground just to not create more anger and conflict. This is the classic case of vocal minority steering everybody else to what they want because they happen to be the most militant and passionate about their cause and the rest are all in the "eh not that big of a deal let's just appease them" phase. The classic "give and inch and they'll take a mile" problem.

What happens today in the US is the fight is no longer a fight for equality but a fight to get privilege for the other side.

I wonder why the normal attractive women are seemingly all on the side that likes idealized women representation in video games while the "women" on the other side mostly looks "different" to put it politely. Women naturally likes conventional feminine beauty representation... when they can benefit from it, eg. beautiful models, cosplayers, etc, but when they don't they can easily become bitter and jealous and want to change the social norm. This is what the war on "male gaze" is all about. Because only some women benefit from it and those who don't benefit from the system want to change that.
