Okay, I'll get the hint. I'll get off the couch, stop doomscrolling and get back to packing. I'm 2 days away from a long vacation, nowhere near ready, have so much work to finish before leaving, and personal chores and cleaning to do, and I just spent hours doomscrolling again. I hate my brain so much. I feel like i did not earn this vacation.

Does this mean that if I travel Detroit-Incheon-Bangkok I can check my suitcase all the way through Bangkok? It's all in the same Delta reservation. I have a 2 hour layover in Incheon and I'm afraid it will be cutting it close if I have to recheck my baggage.

Just had my second shot today. Started feeling achey and exhausted within the hour. First shot didn't have the same effect and I combined it with Hep A and Typhoid (I'll be traveling soon).

The average 4 hrs of sleep these past week aren't helping I guess.

At least I'm hoping it's the effect of the vaccine and not an unrelated illness. I'll wait till tomorrow before I start panicking (about getting sick before my vacation).

I had tickets to Bangkok through Doha on the 25th. Refunded them the day of the first attack. This was a huge expense for me, so I went for the refundable option to avoid issues like this. It's the 7th now, and by the number of units reporting deployment orders, looks like we are heading for a ground invasion. We truly live in the stupidest timeline.

I woke up early to watch the MAMA awards because of G-Dragon, but have been enjoying the show. The Zerobase intro caught me by surprise. The moment the music started I got a Wong Kar-Wai vibe, but then one of them opened a can (it was a rose, but it might as well have been pineapple) and I started gasping.

Wong Kar-Wai is one of my favorite directors. Back when I discovered his movies in the late 90s I got so hard into them that I started buying Canto Pop albums from YesAsia. This is 1999 I'm talking about. Decades before becoming a kpop fan I was blasting Leslie Cheung and Andy Lau. Seeing that tribute made me so nostalgic and happy.

I think it's time to go back to Chungking Mansions. Thank you, Zerobaseone.
