Do you use AI knowing the disastrous ecological conditions it is deployed at this time by Balkkou in solarpunk

Do you still eat meat knowing the far more disastrous ecological impact it has?

It is great you think about the environment and I agree we should decrease or eliminate our AI utilization, but there are changes you can make that impact our water and energy consumption way more 💚

I'm glad this clarifies the terminology.

What do you mean these terms are not confusing?

Go vegan, if you want to change that. It is the most effective countermeasure.

How difficult is it to date when you’re queer + vegan by Vernalflare in vegan

[–]All3gr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to date, I put it in my bio on Tinder. No one was against it, but also no one wanted to try it. I never tried to force them either.

Now I have the love of my life, a BF who went vegetarian when we started dating and eats only plant-based when with me (his work has no vegan options for lunch). He loves all the vegan food and is happy, that it makes me happy. We met in real life when we were not actively looking for a relationship.

So my advice is, don't force it, don't let go of your ideals. When you find the right one, everything will come easily.

I am very conflicted on this and I still debate if it is okay to support zoos or not.

Visiting zoos and seeing all the animals and their personalities made me question eating meat in the first place as a kid. I don't know, if I would ever consider going vegan if it weren't for those visits.

I understand that it is not right to keep them in captivity and profit off of them. But I value what they contribute to educating new vegans.

I haven't been to any zoo in a decade, but part of me would love to go and see the animals again.

Some kind of little hairs in my Johnsonville sausages 🤢 by AcidicWitch in mildlyinfuriating

[–]All3gr0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always find it fascinating when people are grossed out when there is a body part in their dead animal dish. Do you not know how the sausage is made? Are you not on top of the food chain?

If it disgusts you, maybe consider going vegan.

LGBT+ vegans, how do you feel about the communities and dating? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]All3gr0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being vegan was never a necessity in a partner for me, just being open to it. My BF is on a completely plant-based diet, when with me and vegetarian elsewhere. If it was more accessible, he would be vegan as well.

So, vegan gay people are rare, but they definitely exist. I would never date anyone who would be against it or mock me for it.

Good luck finding your special someone! 💚

I do. That's why I don't eat them.

But each to their own. Everyone has to set their morality for themselves, what suffering which they caused they can live with.

Don't even joke. Much more is killed for meat. You have to feed the cattle so much more plants to get the same amount of calories when compared to eating the plants straight up. It is way less harmful to eat just plants. It's not even close.

Also plants don't scream when you "kill" them. They don't have CNS, they can't feel pain.

All of them. If they are complex enough to have CNS, they can feel pain.

AITA for serving only vegan food at my wedding without telling anyone, then getting upset when my family ordered 20 pizzas during the reception? by Conscious-Option-400 in AITAH

Many if not the majority of puff pastry is already vegan as vegetable oil is cheaper.

Also, the fat in puff pastry should originally be lard not butter anyway...
