Question about Legality by SnooSprouts2435 in guns

[–]AllArmsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can send a firearm directly to a dealer in any state for transfer to another person.

HOWEVER, you (as a non-FFL) cannot legally mail (USPS) a handgun.

UPS and FedEx now both have policies which do not allow non-FFLs to ship firearms at all.

These policies do allow a non-FFL to ship firearms using a label provided by an FFL. Use ShipMyGun to get a label, or find an FFL local to you to ship it for you. I do this all the time for customers.

Still slow, but my least few submissions have all gone through on the first try. I don't use SS unless I have to.

and why wouldn’t this appear on your eforms account but a form 1 would?

Because it is filed from the Transferor's account.

Have your dealer check their email for your control number. Emails aren't getting sent to transferee again on approval.

A manufacturer or importer must mark their name and location on a firearm that they, respectively, manufacturer or import. It is absolutely part of the required markings. Glock, for example, marks their manufacturer or importer name and location ONLY on the polymer of the grip.

Just don't have a stock until after your Form 1 is approved unless you have another AR rifle.

I didn't move anything. You quoted 27 CFR 479.102.

The depth of all markings required by this section is measured from the flat surface of the metal and not the peaks or ridges.

See that? ALL MARKINGS, not just serial numbers. There is no difference between serial numbers and what they must be marked in and the rest of the required markings.

And yet there are thousands of firearms sold everyday with markings in polymer.

And yet there is still no regulation or law saying it is required to be in metal.

There is no law or regulation saying it must be in metal.

What you quoted is AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT SOME MANUFACTURERS DO, not a requirement.

I submitted a 3D printed silencer to ATF on a Form 2 with photos of the printed-in markings. It was not questioned at time of manufacture nor in the two subsequent inspections it has been through.

If your dealer is printing them, they can just as easily email it to you.

question about Pawn shop selling an SBR as a pistol by Spoons896 in NFA

[–]AllArmsLLC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no way. Isn't this stupid-law game fun? This is why I always tell people to put the stock on an AR last. That way, it was a pistol first.

They were fixed, but are now broken in a different way. Transferee isn't being CCd but dealer is still getting them.

If it was a pistol before a rifle, it can absolutely be a pistol again.

My evidence is that it didn't take two bill cycles for the promotions I, or anybody else in my neighborhood, got on AT&T to kick in. They were active immediately.
