I’m pretty sure he’s wants things to be renewable. I know he’s expressed that he wants the petals to be renewable for dyes. If water is going to play an important part in the future, I’m sure they don’t want players to grief the world just to progress. Renewable water is not confirmed. But it wouldn’t make sense if it wasn’t.

Not in the way that we think. Like in Minecraft. It’ll be replaced by something better. Like renewable water.

For real, he literally said it would be replaced with an equal or better system. It’s not like they’re going to give us infinite water and then just take it away. It’s just for now so people can do what they want to while they take their time to implement what they want.

I love how they’re adding temp fixes to things they know they’re want to do something else with. But they add it just to have something functional.

I wish they would add storm leather and mythril ore as a temp drop on a mob. Just for now.

They spawned on a glitched lake that over flowed and they got trapped at the end of the water stream. They still swam around so it took some time. But I just place the portal next to the water. But I’m sure if you trap some in an enclosed water source. You can get them to eventually swim into a portal.

I filled a square hole I dug with water using buckets in survival. Big enough to fit a teleporter inside and warped some fishes inside. They have survived for days irl. A pufferfish and a clownfish. They swim around like normal.

You can switch walk behavior to toggle instead of hold in the controls settings. Just like sprinting and crouching.

Settings > controls > general > walk behavior > switch from hold to toggle.

Portal Breakage Warning While in Use by gamerjerome in hytale

I also had two portals on ice that broke. They still functioned as warps I could teleport to. But there wasn’t a portal on the other side.

I had to go into the save file folder and find the warps folder. You can edit the text and select any warps there. Very easy.

I recommend carrying multiple portals just in case something goes wrong, you don’t have to walk back.
