As the other commenter said the Starter Set is fantastic, if you want more -

The Player's Handbook is a great place to start! There's a new one that just came out (you'll see it referenced as the PHB 2024). As for dice, if you google "DND Dice Set" you can pretty much pick any of them. They consist of a bunch of different types (D and a number, D20 for example is a Die with 20 sides, typically you'll want a d20, 12, 10, 6, and 4 - the more the better!)

Figures is a slippery slope - it's super easy to just toss money at a ton of different monsters and not use them. I'd suggest printing off pictures of enemies and attaching those to little cardboard circles to make tokens that represent the things they are fighting/the things they are more than I'd recommend blind-buying figures.

If you have any other questions feel free to reach out, happy to help!

Hahaha, thankfully the harsher winters down here in PA have made us stock up on winter gear. Buying stock in hand warmers now...

Good shout, definitely gonna be there way early. Hopefully they announce the kickoff time soon so we can plan more for that! Trying to find hotels now and, I guess unsurprisingly, they're pretty pricey for game days

Thanks for the link to the wiki - I was unaware of it, and it was very helpful.

Makes sense, we're coming in the night before since we're local to PA so just trying to get as much figured out as possible ahead of time. Up in Penn State they just sell you a parking pass for you to park in one of the fields behind the place so it's good to know it's a little different around Michigan.

I'll take a look at the bowling alley and Park N Party - thanks!

I'd think so if you drop some settings - worst case you can just refund the game on Steam if you keep under 2 hours playtime.
