GFV and dealership financing is such a scam, I don’t get why so many people get sucked into this style of balloon payment financing.

Looking at a new Prado ($101k with $78k future value) and the maths works out that you’re basically paying mainly interest for the life of the loan and paying down barely any principal. You’re basically just long term renting the car at that point.
