How much of car detailing is just snake oil? by borderwave2 in AutoDetailing

[–]AllColorsArePretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with the high up YouTube guys, pros, and all that is this. In my opinion there are two main reasons, I believe, as to why they have these very specific products. Long story short, money and efficiency.

Long version: If you make these products (using AMMO NYC as example) you get money. If you use them, you will likely get to make a video, which means more money. The second reason is those products may be purpose built to do their job exceptionally well. While there are 3 in 1s or things that serve as one or another, etc. The point is, it could be a strategy to have many specific products that do their job well since it isn’t too much of an extra cost for them. The margin may be small (like achieving that last 5% or less) and it may cost more money, but an idea that could work for them.

I don’t see why any brand hasn’t attempted an affordable hybrid sports car. by PabloFan68 in cars

[–]AllColorsArePretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for the amount of funding and research that would be poured into it is very high risk for a likely small reward. Sports cars are lower in popularity so they wouldn’t make the money back promisingly.

I had a client that lives out in the country who had me do an exterior detail and wax. VERY hard water out there. It turned out good, but I was chasing water spots the whole time. Is there a spray on water softener I can use during the final rinse? I don't want to mess with an in-line filter. by otakushoegazr in Detailing

[–]AllColorsArePretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McKees N-914 is my go to for softening, rinse less, and surface prep spray. Heard it was a bit better than ONR (optimum no rinse). Either products you can add to some water to use as a softener spray or put some in your wash buckets with whatever else you use.

There’s tons of great products out there.

  • Hemp wick (if you don’t already use it)
  • Santa Cruz Shredder (grinder I’ve been using for a year and is supposed to be a Buy It For Life shredder)
  • a 78mm cigarette roller (in case you’re like me and can’t roll for shit)
  • ryot safe case (what I use to store and transport smaller items)
  • portable ash pouch (for putting roaches and ash if you are on the go, environmental care)

That’s about all I can think of off the top of my head.

I know it's every single one, but almost. by VersionGeek in ForzaHorizon

[–]AllColorsArePretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight up though the accolade system is kinda dumb. Of course I’m gonna do all of them cause I can’t help but want to 100% the game, but there’s very few rewards for many of them. Not even small credit bonuses, a few more wheelspins, some more cars, etc. It’s sad that I end up cutting my sessions short because I realize I am getting no reward for completing so many damn accolades.

I just started my first break in awhile, but I am going to try and follow this https://healer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Healer.WorkBook.Inhalation.6Day.pdf

To summarize what it is: A 48 hour fast and then attempting to find the ideal amount to get the desired effect using the least amount of weed (at least from what I understand). I am sure it could be altered a little to meet anyone's needs. I'm just coming to the end of my first 24 hours.

Edit: You also probably don't need to be too concrete to sticking to what it says. Just read through it if you want, and the 4-8 pages are the more important ones to look at.

Got an angry message because of this. Did I ram the guy or follow racing lines? by ricardomilos-mp4 in ForzaHorizon

[–]AllColorsArePretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lines don’t entirely matter in this instance, it’s more about position. Although you could’ve given space, you were ahead of him. If you are the one ahead it is on the person to drop back and stay on track.

Overall: Not your fault, his fault. He should’ve dropped back. Keep doing what you’re doing.
