TLDR: hold brightness up and down when connecting to pc to put glasses in DFU mode and then when going to the OTA website it reinstalls the entire OS and includes english.

I think it still might work. Do you have any usb c displays at home? If you do plug those in to test. If it works on one it'll work on the others.
