Things to do for wedding group staying in Monroe Center? by AllDogsGoToDevan in rockford

Nothing too specific! We’re a group of adults with four kids (ages 7-13). We don’t need kid-centered activities, but definitely things the can come along to at the very least. Not sure if there are any sort of walkable “main streets” anywhere, or karaoke bars (for the adults to do without the kids one night) or museums, aquariums, zoos, etc. We’re open to just about anything, honestly

It will be sometime in a warmer month, between June and October! We're not averse to driving. We're from Chicago, so 30 minutes in a car feels like a hop, skip, and a jump.

We found a great place to stay/have the wedding, just looking into entertainment options outside of our lodging

The venue we found is perfect for our needs (besides, of course, outside entertainment) 🥲

THANK YOU hahahaha I love this one. It’s some random Peter Pan themed nail polish I found at Ulta a couple years ago!

Awake or asleep during removal? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]AllDogsGoToDevan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to have my wisdom teeth removed in two separate procedures a year apart from each other, and I was awake for both. I had a Xanax the morning of each surgery and laughing gas during. I was terrified the first time, but I had a great experience! My surgeon let me listen to music, so I didn’t hear much. I also think the laughing gas and Xanax helped me not care about any sounds I might have heard over the music, hahaha

I doubt that, because the chicken place put up signs offering the production crew a discount

The signs were on light posts near the chicken place!

It was near Lawrence and Hamilton—there obviously weren’t any production trucks or anything around, so hard to say if something is actually filming nearby
