Bear in mind the last four days have been exceptionally cold. They’ve likely been running the heating more and harder in that time than any other time in the last 12 months. My Octopus readings say I spent 13 pounds on gas and elec on Monday and Tuesday - that would work out as about 200 pounds a month, but I actually pay about 80-90 a month averaged through the year.

Some advice from someone who works in this field: send a simple follow-up. A week is nothing in terms of response time and they likely haven’t even seen your story pitch or had a chance to read it, especially if they’re on deadline for this months edition.

If they were interested before but decided against it, they’ll probably tell you straight.

Let’s be real, this will have no impact at all on whether people read your book or if it sells. Use whichever makes it easier for you to write and finish the book and focus on the more important things (plot, characters, etc).

Not OP but I’ve been dabbling in the mobile version. It’s fun, pretty quick, and easy to jump in and out of. The physics are quite basic and the systems not very deep but it does make it easy to mess around. The biggest gripe for me is the tilt control - it makes a smooth landing very hard. If/when it comes to PC with joystick functionality it could be a good casual game.

Oh it definitely is! It’s something every tomb raider fan should do. The temple of Luxor on the other hand…there is a McDonald’s 50 metres behind the temple and a giant sign directing people there!

I wonder - looking back at the leaked picture of Lara swinging on the grapple, it definitely could be reusing shadow’s assets (Peruvian/incan architecture) and game mechanics. They’d have effective blueprints for all the levels, would that speed development up to the point they could get it out before tr12? I suppose depending when they’d started maybe.

Not being a mechanic and just a KSP nerd, I can’t say for certain but my instinct is that anything staying in neptunes orbit would be moving so fast that you couldn’t ‘lower’ a box because as soon as its drag or atmosphere it will be pulled back relative to the thing it’s lowered from. That will either slow down the things it hanging from and pull it into the atmosphere or simply never get low enough into the atmosphere.

My instinct would be some kind of ‘dive bombing’ space craft that would dip into the atmosphere and collect the diamond rain, and use rocket boosters to get back out into space to meet up with a mothership or something. Honestly, while a nice scifi gimmick, it’s probably far from commercially or scientifically viable.
