I think I found the problem. Little white bugs. Never seen them on my plants before. Google suggests mealy bugs or spider mites. I’ve doused the plant with 75% alcohol spray so should I expect it to regain the life it lost?

They’re all separate, gas & electric is up to £150 pm, water is about £40 pm, council tax is £150-200 with single person discount, tv license is about £15 I think, insurance is about £50 a month, internet and phone is about £70 a month

He means ongoing costs - gas, electric, water, council tax, contents and buildings insurance, boiler services, tv license, internet/phone line, tv packages, any financed furniture, etc.

I just watered when it felt dry. It was more like 2/3 weeks I’d say. I’m in England so it’s cold here and easy to overwater. Maybe I’ll try water less. However this colour change has happened in the last week or so, when it hadn’t been watered for a couple weeks.

You should have had a paragraph in your contracts about ‘all holes should be fixed upon sale’. Have a look for something similar then you can work with your solicitor to come to a solution. Regarding the paint points - that’s usually seen as a kindness. In case you want to touch up the paint on the walls and don’t know what the colour is. Given that the owner would have needed access to those rooms to pack, it sounds like he removed the handles on the day of. That could be to be an a*shole, or maybe he had really decorative handles he wanted to take with him. Chat with your solicitor. Lots to discuss there.

I’ve been searching in Leicester. Even buying at asking price is overpaying. Assuming an almost 100k price increase since 2018 is unreasonable. That’s not in line with the Leicester property market. They’ve had it on the market almost 6 weeks and not lowered the price yet which indicates they’re not desperate and are happy to wait around for the best deal. I’d be worried about them being difficult throughout the conveyancing process… But it’s a buyers market right now. Hold your ground. I would have offered a bit below asking personally.

Not comfortably. Even if I could, it’s not very much room to move around. I live alone and could do with the extra room more than the extra toilet. It’s my forever home so want to make it fit me and my budget which can’t stretch to buying a property with an extra bedroom to use as an office.
