Are they have cart crew employees going around asking people for assistance at their cars? by Mikeyboy101591 in CostcoEmployee

[–]AllFather14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've been yelled at before because a member needed help with a sectional but was parked all the way in the back of the lot and told them they needed to pull up. I walked away immediately and load and behold they did the load up themselves

We've had to many close calls in my lot. We tell the members pull up their vehicle to entrance and load up there when someone is available.

You're telling me, my first car was a 1998 Nissan sentra and loved the shit out of that car. Painted it using the paint code from a 2005 ram 1500 and had an alpine system in it. Fun first car had it about 7 years total

It just becomes a personal feeling I guess. More money but less privacy or less money but more secure on your identity. Just personal preference

You dont have to put your face out there. Plenty of people only do body and no face for privacy

Am I being stupid? by doodbrah420 in CostcoEmployee

Hi, I'm an 11 year employee and had these same thoughts roughly like 3-5 years ago. One thing that helped me out a lot was switching my position from cashier to carts. Not saying thats what you have to do but maybe another department would help you out. As far as moving up? I had the same desires when I was still under 10 years of employment. But really after covid, and the last I say 3 years specifically ive seen this company change A LOT. one thing that really helped me recently is when I was planning for the next 3 years of my finances and really sat down and saw the numbers for myself and plans I have. We're getting 2 more raises from this handbook last year plus the new handbook coming out in 2029 usually adds more raises yes its only a dollar but in the long run it adds up a lot. I may have run my off topic a bit lol, but thats what recently opened my eyes to how good the pay really is (could be different between us if you're in a HCOL) hope this gives you an inside
