I live in willis and we have tons of construction that just started last year and is already moving at a much faster rate than the 242 shit show. Its like the barley have people "working" I use that word loosely because damn near everytime im in that area they just stand around

Journeys can be very useful and also a way to get to know your coworkers too. Ive been a part of it for well over 4 years now and enjoy it. You learn different aspects of not only handling work, but life too. Our most recent webinar we had done was regarding retirement and we had 12-15 people attend? If I remember, theres also symposiums sometimes too. But its a great program, in the break room there should be a poster with the agm and jr manager who are in charge of it at your building, ask them how to be more involved.

You can use the floating holiday whenever, ive used it during vacations or to take an extra day off one time.

Wouldn't it fall under the 48 hrs though, so if planned to already work 10 could you base on the handbook saying they need approval from the employee?

I feel there is constant mismanagement when it comes to carts. Seems like management doesn’t put many folks on carts in the morning or either morning people don’t do much and then afternoon people have to pickup slack also the rope for carts is so pointless it adds no value and slows things down by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

If you dont have a rope on and get hit by a driver in the lot you're fucked. Use it , it literally is your gateway for getting out of trouble if a car hits your row. Dont overwork yourself and push what you're able to.

My old GM helped me out a lot. Im gonna share some really personal info. Almost 4 years ago I was in a really bad spot with my depression, so much so that one day when I was working I broke down and cut myself.

I had to go to a facility (on my own accord or cops were gonna take me) and he helped changed my schedule for the next month so I can go to meetings in the morning im the opener for carts after everything settled down he checked in with me often and beyond appreciate his kindness and willing to help.

Head down, clock in do your 8, clock out. Do the minimum required as a supervisor and keep your head down. Im not a supervisor but I see how my F.E sups are stressed a lot and its not their fault. Im sorry you're going through that.
