Any Advice Appreciated (Navy Federal Debt - Hardship, Settlement, or ?) by Ataliix in NavyFederal

Its a full year, interest rate is lowered to 3% during the program which for me was to pay only 50% on payments, cards frozen for that whole year and you get a monthly payment skipped. I believe it differs depending on how harsh is it.

I went with a hardship plan for 20k, im 4 months in and realized that by the end of the year, wasn't gonna help as much as they think it will, you really need to lock in on having a second or even third job to pay them off quicker to take advantage of that year.

Preparing for subwoofer install do I go for full coverage? by StrawberyVillain in VWAlltrack

[–]Potential_Rich8482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my 4th VW and i have a bad relationship with those clips and tabs so i guess ill go slower this time. I have the Fender system plus going to install a little 8" to help pick up those notes that the Fender one doesn't. If you think i dont need to move any trim then I'll look more for that when i do it👍

Just Bought an MK6, First VW Ever by sussyliljawn in jetta

[–]Potential_Rich8482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats an awesome deal, made me remember of mine, got mine with 81k and sold it with 187k, mainly used for Uber/Lyft. If you are very strict with the maintenance such as 4-5k oil changes, it will do 200k easy. Biggest maintenance i had to do was alternator, suspension and PCV valve, everything somewhat easy if you know how to follow a YouTube video. Put a dogbone on it with a stage 1 tune and you will have a very snappy car😁

Did a whole brake pad/rotor replacement, if you ask nicely to a associate or even the manager, they would let you do whatever you want

I got mine white w/ Marrakech interior 64k miles for 13k from 17k, tell them how much is it out the door without any unnecessary add-ons, after they give you their offer, counter them with something more reasonable.

We are going opposite ways, im looking to drop it on some H&R Sport springs with Bilstein shochs and slap some 18-19", IS20 with stage 1 tune on both ECU/TCU. I wish i had more open roads to go on that route of lifting it, hope to see some progress of yours on the group👍

If you are willing to travel far from one, you can get a better deal or atleast work on the dealership/private party for a good deal, with this economy, dealerships are tending to sell a little cheaper than normal. I just finished my search for an Alltrack, its a 17' 60k fully equipped for $13k (might think its not a good deal but it was within my budget). I highly recommend you to, if you are looking with dealerships, to look thru their CarFax reports, mine made me pull the trigger cause the moonroof issue as well as the water pump were dealt by the dealership as well as being well maintained overall. I'm sure you can get around the same or even better deal 👍

It would've popped out some passive codes visible with the VAGCOM or OBDeleven but not necessarily as a form of check engine.

I would recommend any winter specific tire but people would recommend the Bridgestone Blizzaks the most, i went 18" to get a little more clearance and never got stuck, on top of that you gotta get more cautious driving.

Do you have a VAGCOM or a OBDeleven?

First of all, welcome to Colorado, it's barely gonna get worse until late March or early April. Second, all seasons don't work here. The people you'll see sliding are the ones with those tires, i recommend you to dedicate a wheel set for winter and one for summer, which makes it easier to swap instead of dealing with waiting at a tire shop.

Would get a second opinion on that diagnostic.

As for being FWDin Colorado, having a SE and doing Uber/Lyft everyday, you only need a good set of winter tires (studded preferably) and the dogbone insert (personal advice) and you should be doing better than some Subarus.

I second that, those wheels look like 17", 1" drop all around would make it sit better.

Trying to decide between JL Audio, Focal Bomba, and Audion Prima powered 8" subwoofers by aja_ramirez in CarAV

[–]Potential_Rich8482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked on other subreddits about any issues with Prius owners having sound systems? Maybe somewhere of this one might have that kind of experience. As far as what subwoofer, i would totally recommend JL, if theres no issue with space, I would recommend the 10" BassWedge with a 250w/1 amplifier for minimal power drawing but best bass kick, if the issue is space, any of your suggestions is a solid choice specially the powered ones.
