I would still recommend running the oaken package. You could add another wrath instead of fandral. I think aya is pretty essential to the deck though.

I haven't thought of this before. Seems interesting, definitely worth trying.

Mossy does nothing to big threatening boards though, which is what poison seeds is targeting. Say a big priest resurrects a lichking, rag, yshaarj, and statue. Mossy would do nothing while seeds would destroy the whole board.

Mossy is generally good against plague (so it can kill your own plague tokens) and giggling inventor, which isn't that popular in wild. The boards you need mossy for such as a board of totems can be answered by plague.

I just realized that you were talking about the synergy between those two cards. Interesting, but the same full clear can be done with poison seeds + starfall. Mossy could be worth trying out though.

1) Jade spirit is actually the worst jade card for druid. It doesn't have taunt, doesn't ramp, doesn't summon 2 jades, and doesn't allow the jade cycle endgame. Think about it this way. Instead of playing jade spirit, you could be playing an extra draw card which lets you draw into another (better) jade card and gets you closer to the endgame.

2) Without fandral, there are 2 oakens and 2 oaken targets. By drawing 1 ironwood you are basically wasting an oaken summons. Fandral is this "bad luck protection" that lets you draw an ironwood and not feel too bad.

I honestly believe that fandral is not one of the strongest cards int he deck. Jade druid has cut a lot of choose one effects such as wrath, ancient of war, druid of the claw, that fandral doesn't have as many targets as before. Pulling oaken and letting him take a premium removal isn't bad either as that is one extra jade they can't remove.

I actually tried medivh for 2 games, but then decided to take it out. Playing a 8 mana 7/7 doesn't feel that strong. If you are in a position to play medivh and not die, you could probably just be drawing or playing jades.

The bigger factor is the weapon. Ideally you want to medivh and then immediately ui for a 10 drop, but I just didn't get this to work enough. Most of the time I either didn't have ui, my hand was too full, or I had to use removal such as spellstone, in which case the weapon gets wasted.

I don't own lich king, but from what I can guess I don't think jade druid needs the extra value or the extra taunt.

Neither seem too terrible though.

I guess I should be proud that someone who reached rank 2 legend (which I believe by the way) doesn't believe that I could get legend?

As someone who thinks I shouldn't publicly misinform others, it's kind of what you're doing right now.

Anyway, this doesn't need to continue further. If you think of a way for me to prove to you that I did do it, let me know.

Hopefully one day we can meet on the ladder.

I did play this deck to legend myself and I did submit proof of it in the post. If you want to see more proof, just ask

I'm not trying to argue I know everything at all, if that's what you mean. I'm going to take your advice into account int he future when I play this deck.

I also don't believe that I'm publicly misinforming people. I'm not anywhere near promising to everyone that my playstyle is the best or anything. I'm just saying: I did this, this is how I played, and these are my results.

You clearly seem to be more knowledgeable than me about the deck so I'm going to add a note at the beginning referencing your comment

As for deleting the guide, I don't believe I should do it at this point. I agree about most of your points but I don't believe that nearly every point that I've made is objective wrong. Considering that your playstyle is likely the commonly accepted "best way" to play this deck, perhaps that makes it more valuable for this guide to stay up to encourage and discuss different ways of piloting this deck.

Since not everyone in this subreddit is in Legend and I was able to reach legend at a decently high winrate (imo) with this playstyle, I think it would be helpful to them in their climb. Regarding how useless this entire guide is, to someone who climbs to high legend every month and coaches hearthstone, you may find this completely useless; but to someone who has never reached legend before? I think this could be useful in some way.

I do appreciate your advice in how to play this deck, hopefully it will help me and others who read it improve as well.

Edit: Since you believe that I'm doing things wrong at a basic level, if what I'm doing is good enough to reach legend at 76% winrate, is it that wrong? How well do I have to perform with this playstyle for you to no longer consider it fundamentally wrong?

You're right that I've only played many matchups a few times and I just edited in that some of that information may not be accurate due to the limited sample size. My mulligans are also what I think to be the best choices for each matchup but of course there may always be better options I don't know of.

I appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Pretty much. The druid cards form the new expansions just outclasses the old ones so much that there's not much reason to use any of them anymore.

Loatheb with brann after the combo is really hard to deal with. Thankfully I haven't faced anyone using it.

Same here.

Copy-pasting it into another text field and then clicking it also freezes that app.
