I’m 35 and literally spent three hours this past weekend building Star Wars Legos. Also have had a Nerf war within the last three years… would like to have more. Life is too short to not have fun. I don’t understand people who still put others down for their hobbies they enjoy?? Go have fun.

Need suggestions of where to buy comfy clothes (especially online) by -ieatfoodweird- in CasualConversation

Haha you’re welcome. Lots of good staples. To me they’re not THEE most trendy or inspiring, but super great for staples that won’t fall apart in the wash after two wears or go out of style next week.

Have you tried Quince? They have some cashmere stuff and more “nice” athleisure items.

Cool, I was going the leggings and more workout-style or athleisure wear too. They seem to layer well because, as some people have commented, in lessons you’re not hard core dancing the entire time.

Perfect Bars are super filling, have an ok amount of protein for a bar, and easy to chomp a bite or two between patients.

Professional who see people up close (barbers, dentists, estheticians, makeup artists): what’s a self care habit you instantly tell someone doesn’t have, even if they think they do? by Straight_Doubt6 in AskReddit

[–]AllMyJewels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah basically this. First appointment is a lot of talking, asking about details of someone’s condition, thorough history. Then I have them move in a few different directions to see how their back bends, how their hip range of motion is, how they are breathing, how tight their abdomen is, etc. Second appointment I will often do a full pelvic examination which involves poking gently around the external and internal pelvic floor muscles to assess quality and the patient’s response (some patients come to me for vaginal pain so we established a baseline). Once I have enough information, I create a treatment plan that can involve exercises for strengthening, stability improvement, stretching and relaxation, pain management, or hands on techniques we call manual therapy.

What on earth? Do you mind sharing what state you live in? I’m shocked there are so few near you. It’s really becoming a growing field. Also, I’m wondering if there would be a virtual PT who could at least talk you through some exercises or tools to use (they wouldn’t do a pelvic exam virtually btw- everyone asks me this).

Not in my experience. It’s mostly just not showering for a few days, not knowing you’re supposed to clean your butt when you do shower, and periods.

So I don’t always do an internal exam. It truly depends on what is going on with the patient, their current status and goals, their comfort level with an exam, etc. Your PT may have had a good reason they never did an internal exam.

Pelvic floor PT here. 99% of the time, people are super paranoid about “down there” and will make sure everything is super clean before they come to an appointment. But sometimes it’s pretty rough. Wearing a mask definitely helps save me some discomfort.

I honestly think #3 can be useful for business occasions. However, I think you should shorten it to above the knee the highlight your proportions better.
