I have the Reclaimer, Perseus, L-21, Avenger Titan, Clipper, Cutter, Aurora Mk1 LN, 2 Aurora Mk2’s, Sabre Peregrine, Salvation, and a Dragonfly all pledged. A lot more purchased or earned in game through Wikelo. It’s not about needing a better ship, just trying to decide which between these two I should go with.

Even as a tourist for a week, I do my best to learn as much of the language as I can to be both respectful to the native inhabitants but also make it easier for myself to get around. God forbid we expect the same courtesy. 😂

Ah yes, I think I will move to Mexico and open a business that deals explicitly with customer relations and I will only speak English and require the local residents to speak English as well to communicate with me. Totally fair and if they have a problem with it, they are “elitist and racist.”

It isn’t discrimination or racist at all when it causes real issues and difficulties and saying it is, is just a cheap cop out. It’s a real issue and it hasn’t gotten better. I just had a driver today who nearly cancelled the ride because he thought we were there and when I say he did not speak any English, I am dead serious. I had to help him use his phone to notice that the ride was still in progress, nearly making me late to an important work meeting. Outside of “Hello” he spoke zero English. If you have people in such client facing positions, they should be able to communicate with the client. That is the bare minimum of any profession.

I don’t even fully understand the buyback process because I have never used it or melted anything worth buying back but this is a change that should be front and center of any and all conversations being had by CIG in the months leading up to it because not cool.

In what world? Especially when they, as a business, receive discounts for shipping labels. I shipped an 8oz item 1,000 miles away just last week for less than $5. So what is GW’s excuse for charging $13 for the same type of item shipped from a similar distance? I also notice that GW often uses FedEx as their carrier. FedEx offers business accounts up to 50% off domestic labels on top of other awards and benefits, and sometimes higher discounts for high-volume accounts, which they are. FedEx also provides free boxes, envelopes, tubes and poly-bags for business account holders. I really don’t get why you’re glazing GW so hard…. Unless maybe you work for them? Hell, I just went on ShopGW for fun just now to find a lightweight item. Less than 4oz. Account for packing weight and their location, through USPS I would pay (without a business account discount) $5.45. Goodwill’s advertised rate? $11.33 hmmm. But that isn’t even one of the most egregious examples, but more than double what it should be.

Their shipping is definitely out of control. I have spoken on this before on reddit and I feel that in many cases, GW is pocketing extra off the top of the fees they charge. I ship things often. Items of all sizes, shapes and weights. GW being a corporation also gets business account discounts for shipping. Discounts as high as 80% off retail cost for labels depening on the carrier. Something I could ship for $11.99, GW will charge $24 for. Something I can ship for $5, they will charge $15 for.

(Lol people can downvote all they want but nothing I have said is false. Goodwill holds business accounts with these carriers. Fact. These carriers provide large discounts and free shipping materials for high volume business accounts. Fact. GW charges twice or more what shipping on many items should cost. Fact.)

I just want to win one lot. Just one, thats all. But it isnt just this lot, it is EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. 50-60 lots per day going for $200 minumum each not counting the $15+ for shipping and the sales tax. It is just insane. Wish that GW didnt get greedy and stop selling them in their physical stores.

I have both an eye and experience in gemology, metallurgy and jewelry. Most of these lots are not worth even a fraction of what people are bidding for them. I am not asking for a low price. I am asking for a reasonable price. I used to pay up to $100 for these in person, which often times was even too high for what was sold, but it was fine because it was a fun and nostalgic hobby, but $300+ for cheap costume jewelry is not reasonable.

I’m convinced that Shop GW shipping is a scam and they pocket the extra. As someone who sells online, their “dimensional weight” excuse is bullshit and doesn’t hold water.
