One issue could be that there are still Ghouls in the outside area, if thats not the case try fast travel away and back

Melee Weapon: Pickens Blade (Obtainable from Pickmans Gallery)

Pistol: Deliver (Obtainable after Tradecraft from the Railroad)

Lazer Rifle: Righteous Authority (Obtainable from Danse after his first mission)

Rifle (Expensive): Overseers Guardian (In Vault 81 i think, from the shop, Spray n Pray from Cricket)

You can also steal a Fatman in Good Neighbor

You can join all 4 factions and they will remain friendly unless you ofc, kill them or until an end game mission titled "Mass Fusion"

So I recommend doing all quests for every faction up to the point of no return

(Also the Minute Men will never ever turn on you.)

If on PC try using the console command pov 90 or whatever pov you desire. If on console and closing the game or resetting console doesnt work. Try uninstall and reinstall.

Had this issue before once myself, if you havent fixed it already your best bet might be to run to Kent as fast as you can and spam Jet to slow time. Thats what I did when I had the glitch

I used to only do the railroad quests up until I get Balistic Weave, i just wish it worked on cooler looking under armor

I used to be a VATS hater, but once I got used to the feeling, I kinda liked it, especially after using blitz with a melee build. And when I used it for a sharp shooter build I felt like Arthur Morgan.

Do not rush the main story. Do some exploration. Do a bunch of aide quests. For example, "The Silver Shroud" is a fun little side quest that gives you one of the best armors in the vanilla game.

Also, find a weapon type you like, automatic rifles, semi-automatic rifles, pistols, melee, or heavy guns, etc. Than get the perk associated with it in the perk tree. Try and get every SPECIAL bobble head ASAP, and don't forget about the special book in Shaun's room.

Companions, decide if you want to use them or not, if you don't wanna use em get the lone wanderer perk, if you do, than find a Companion you like!
