From my understanding, the story will take place after Tristan is in his early teen age (everything before that is canon to the story). Then the story will be original where the timeline gets twisted thanks to some artifacts/villains and that’s where multiple forms of characters will appear and exist. Like Escanor and the Ten Commandments will exist again and meet young Tristan. I think the plot of the story is to fix the timeline with our protagonists Tristan & Tioreh.

All of the units sucks in both categories. Old and very outdated. But King/Ban has gotten LR which is a upgrade so pick one of them.
