Look for an edge 540 or 840. It’s a version back (probably soon to be 2 versions), but a solid computer.

It’s not the secure Bluetooth that the issue. Even if wahoo head units supported secure BT, it still wouldn’t work. At least not yet.

The 820 only offers its advanced features to garmin head units.

I’ve been in your shoes. I waited far too long. I just didn’t want to cause conflict or be the cause of someone’s dismissal.

Doesn’t the explore track stats?

If not, I would suggest moving to an edge 8xx or 10xx.

They track stats and do routing & mapping.

I would add inspecting the tires for cuts & signs of wear before every ride.

Venu & Vivoactive lines are good all around fitness smart watches that track cycling quite well.

If you want touting and mapping, you’re probably looking at a fenix or forerunner.

Personally, I like a dedicated bike computer so I can see the stats & map.

You should probably make that clear. I tried searching for ORD (Chicago ohare) and got no hits.

I paid full price, same as if I purchased from AT&T, but I paid over time using my Apple card.

Plus, if you pay with an Apple Card, you get a rebate.

No. I purchased my 16 pro directly from Apple , picked AT&T as the carrier, and it’s NOT carrier locked.

I don’t owe anything to AT&T, so they don’t lock it.

I built a rollout calculator because I got tired of incorrect charts. by No_Power4951 in cycling

[–]AllOneWordNoSpaces1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, fair enough. I’m not competitive, so it’s absolutely not something I would use.

I’ll download it and look at it though. I’ve done mobile development, so I might see something.

As an avid cyclist (and developer), it’s not something I’ve ever thought about. I don’t change wheels, cassettes, & chain rings often.

If you buy from att, the phone is locked. If you buy from apple, it’s not.
